<Pattons POV>
I woke up extremely happy, I mean I'm always happy when I wake up so nothing was out of the ordinary. I quickly hop up out of bed and I run out my door. I slow down when walking by Roman's room; he sleeps in and I don't want to wake him. After I successfully pass it I speed up and again and run into the kitchen. I see Logan already there making himself a coffee.
"Good morning Lo!" I say, greeting Logan.
"Salutations Patton," Logan replied. Logan then went back to making his coffee. He seemed pretty tired so I didn't attempt to start a conversation with him. I just made myself a bagel and headed out the door to go on a walk. It was a beautiful morning, the sun was shining bright and there were not many clouds. There were beautiful flowers all around filling the air with an amazing aroma.
*Drip, Drip*
Drops of water landed on my forehead. It was raining outside too, but since the sun was still up it started to form a rainbow! I still quickly turned around and grabbed my umbrella, raincoat, and rain boots. I quickly changed my shoes and I slid on my jacket. I went back outside and started my walk. Usually, I follow the path but this time it felt like I was being pulled to go a different way. I started walking the way that would lead you outside of our land. Outside of the Light side Palace and into the darks. Of course, I wasn't going to go all the way but I guess I could check it out. I walked for about five minutes kinda making my own path along the way. Then I saw it... something laying on the ground. No, not something, someone. I quickly ran over to the person. They had dark brown hair, so dark that from far away you could mistake it for black. They were wearing a black and grey jacket and seemed to eyeshadow streaming down their face. I couldn't just leave them like this out in rain all by themself's. I picked them up trying not to hurt them. They were much taller than me but surprisingly really light. I ran with them in my arms as quickly as I could to try and get them shelter. I found a little fort that Roman and I built a while ago and decided that would be good enough for now. I placed the person in the fort. I didn't know what to do next if I'm completely honest. I tried to think about what Logan taught me about medical help. First, you want to make sure they're alive by checking for a pulse. I reached for their wrists to check for a pulse when they suddenly shot up and backed away from me.
"AAAAA!!!" I screamed because I didn't expect them to just shoot up like that. The side started to look around, worried. Then everything finally clicked. Wait, this side anxiety! Oh no... I probably made the wrong decision then.
"U-uh... W-where am I?" Anxiety screamed/shouted.
"You're in a fort that Roman and I built," I responded.
"Why am I here?" He said with panic in his voice. I knew my best option was to try to calm him down.
"You're here because I found you passed out right outside this forest," I explained. I started to scoot closer. My moves were small and delicate I didn't want to freak him out more.
<Anxiety's POV>
I felt my body being laid against what I assumed was a blanket. I started to slowly open my eyes to see where I was but what I saw didn't solve anything. I saw a man hovering above me. He had freckles covering his face and arms. He was wearing glasses that were somewhat covered by his blonde, curly hair. I noticed his arm reaching for my wrist. Once I saw everything that I just described I shot myself up and quickly scrambled trying to getaway. Then I noticed that I was in what seemed to a tiny shack. I started to look around frantically trying to see if there was an easy way out but all I could find was the curly-haired man and the shack that I was sitting in. The exit was behind the man so I don't think I could get out. The man didn't seem like he wanted to bring any harm to me. In fact, he looked just as scared as I was considering the fact that he shrieked when I jolted up. I decided my best bet was to ask him where I was.
"U-uh...W-where am I? I manage to stutter out. The man has calmed down by now and was able to answer my question.
"You're in a fort Roman and I built." He responded. Well, now I have more questions which is just great!
"Why am I here?" I choose to ask that question. It seems like the most important out of all of mine.
"You're here because I found you passed out right outside this forest," Then I realized why I was here. Last night I ran away from the dark sides territory to go to the light sides but then I ended up turning around and I guess I must've passed out.
"Does that mean I'm in light side territory?!" I basically shout. I didn't even mean to say it out loud, so when I did I immediately shot my hand over my mouth.
"I mean, I guess." He says. "By the way, I'm Patton! What's your name?" My name... he wants to know my name... yeah right like I'm going to share that information with Patton.
"I go by paranoia," I respond. Patton looks at me with a confused look on his face.
"Why paranoia? That's a bad thing... Here how about I call you anxiety!" Patton suggests. I mean Paranoia is a bad thing but I called myself it because I am a bad thing. Does Patton not see me as a bad thing... do the light sides not hate me in every way shape or form. If they don't, does that mean Deceit was wrong... no, he wasn't wrong... that's not was his name says, he was lying to me so that I don't go to them. Was he seriously trying to keep me away from people who see me as a good thing and will like me? Why would he do such a thing? Questions started to fill my head.
"All these years I thought he was telling the truth..." I mumble to myself.
"Huh? What did you say anxiety?" Patton asked.
"Oh! It's nothing I was just talking to myself and yeah you can call me anxiety." I say.
"Great! Here how about I give you a little tour around the place before you leave. I-if you want to!" Patton brought up another thing... me going back. Do I really want to go back? Whatever I'll think about it later.
"Yeah, sure I wouldn't mind that as long as I'm not bothering anyone," I say as I stand up.
"Let's go then!" Patton says eager to show me around. He grabs my hand leads me out of the shack.
As we are walking away a look behind me. Now the trees were blocking my view but I knew what was behind those trees. A place I finally escaped and wouldn't be going back to any time soon.
This is not nearly as short as the last one which is good. Anyways that's it for chapter two so, peace out my queer royalty!✌️🌈✨
