Chapter 8- Elizabeth's POV

She was gone. I punched the tree and it broke. I let out a scream and continued to knock down the trees. I was pulled back by Amber's father. He smelled the tree I had just knocked down and continued slowly progressed forward while smelling every other tree.

He led us to a gas station outside the border and stopped.

"She got into a vehicle, her scent stops here." I smelled the air to see that he was right.

"Call nearby packs for a missing wolf. She can't be too far." I said to the pack behind us.

I ran to the pack house to make a few calls and then laid back on my bed.

Did she leave me because she didn't want me? Did I do something wrong?

I'm so stupid! Of course I did something wrong. My heart was heavy and I couldn't breathe as much anymore. I grabbed the sheets behind me as the panic attack came. Amber was the only thing that triggered them now.

Images flashed in my eyes as I thought of good memories to stop the attack. Mine and Amber's first kiss in the locker room, when she became my girlfriend, our first time. All our happy memories came to me. My breathing eased and grip loosened.

I crinkled my nose as familiar scent passed me. I followed it to the room I woke up in.

"Mr. Callenger." He came to me. "She was in this room, right." He confirmed what I said. "Was anybody allowed in here?"

"The Mikaelsons, the doctor, Kate, Kyle, Helena, and me."

"The doctor was he new or an old one?"

"New. He said you had wanted him for her personally."

"WHAT! As if I would ever assign my mate somebody to look at her!" He flinched.

"Why are you angry?" That bitch Rebekah snapped.

"My mate is gone with her other mate! Why wouldn't I be angry?" She stepped forward as if to hit me, but instead she hugged me. I pushed her away, not wanting anybody but Amber touching me. She stumbled back at my force, but she should've gone flying back a few yards or meters.

"I'm sorry. I just don't want anybody touching me right now." She looked like she was about to cry.

"Nik!" She yelled. He came with his siblings. "Get the witch. We're gonna find Amber."

Helena quickly set up a map and asked for something of Ambers and blood. I passed her a piece of Amber's hair from her brush and slashed my hand dropping blood on the map.

Helena chanted softly and the items moved. The hair dissolved in the blood and it started to move southwest of the pack house. It stopped almost immediately and Helena started chanting faster and with more effort. Kate cried out as blood started to seep out of her mates nose. Her chant grew louder and loud, the blood moved again but back to the pack house. It landed on a place that was about a hundred and fifty miles away from the gas station and kept moving. It stopped after another few miles. Helena stopped and collapsed in exhaustion. Kate held her and dabbed at the blood and sweat on her face.

"She stopped about a hundred and sixty-three miles southwest of the pack house." Helena panted out. "Be careful though. She must have a witch covering her trail." I looked at the map and looked at the street.

N. Highway Road.

I grabbed my keys and went outside to see some of my pack waiting. I nodded my head saying they could come. The Mikaelsons also came with us. The man's, Niklaus, eyes flashed a weird yellow/orange color. I smelled her scent when we reached the town.

Rebekah went over to a man who was closing a restaurant. Well, she slammed him against the wall. She asked him something calmly and he answered with no emotion. Then she bit him. He didn't scream or yell for help. I looked away as she dropped his body when he died. She dropped blood on his wounds and they closed.

"Motel 56." She said when she came back. "He saw her with a guy when he came for his shift over here." We looked around but couldn't find anything.

I suddenly felt a sharp sting on my face. I yelped as a felt it against my ribs too. It happened all over my body, but what I was focused on was the burning in my chest.

I made a fist and my pack spread out looking for the motel. I got word form one of my friends that it was a few streets down. We met up and was greeted with the stench of the bloodsuckers and rouge wolves. After searching the first two buildings we practically ran to the last one across the one we were currently at. The pain grew, telling me we were right. We slammed open the doors and saw people we didn't recognize. We continued to do this, but we were attacked by the ones we interrupted. Niklaus quickly snapped their necks like it was nothing, he had an angry look in his eyes.

I heard the sound of my mate moaning.

Wait a second.

Moaning?

I slammed the door open to see her on top of a guy and him inside her, while a girl is on his face. Her hands were clutching the girl in front of her so tight that blood seeped through her hands. I gasped as she looked at me, a dull look in her eyes.

The older Mikaelson let out a cry of rage and threw the girl off the of them and carried Amber off of the boy. It wasn't Dylan. He looked a bit like a vampire. His head was snapped the instant Amber was off him by Klaus. I rushed to my mate. The look was vacant. She was beaten badly. I grabbed her and threw her on the bed. She let out a shriek of horror when I did. We all flinched at the pain in it.

Who is someone she trusts enough to recognize? Her eyes frantically searched for an escape, but landed on Mikaelsons. She threw herself into their arms and hid behind them. Thy fussed over her like a newborn baby. She cried and whimpered. Her eyes closed and she passed out. Niklaus was the to catch her. He kissed her head, making me growl, and passed her to me. I instantly took her and looked over her. Her scent calmed me but also angered me. Those stupid whores scents were all over her. We ran back to the house and had the doctor check her, with me in the room of course. There is no way I'm leaving her now.

She was hooked up and they took some of her blood.

"She has a concussion and may suffer some memory loss when she wakes up." The doctor continued. My attention snapped to him.

"Memory loss? For how long?"

"I'm not sure. Her memory for the past few months may be gone and flash every now and then, but she'll have to be told about everything."

"A few months. How many are you saying?"

"Well, she might not remember you."
