Finding Love - Something Unexpected

Chapter 2

Emma's POV
As soon ask I got home I called Ashley and told her everything that happened.

"What should I do? Brad and I have been friends for forever and now he has a crush on me."

"Maybe just pretend like nothing happened but if he brings it up talk about it. I wish I could help you more but I've never been in that situation."

"Okay I have to go. See you tomorrow at school" I said as I was hanging up the phone.

I'm scared to talk to him about it. I don't want him to like me and if he really does than I don't want to hurt him. It could mess up everything that we already have.

(Next day at school)

Brad POV
As I walked in to school I saw Emma talking with her friends and I wanted to go over there with them but I'm scared that I messed everything up last night. I'll just talk to her after school on our way home but instead she came up to me.

"Hey Brad, I'm sorry if you felt offended that I left last night. I just wasn't comfortable with what was happening."

"It's fine. I just want to be more than friends and I still want to hangout with you though. Please don't think of me any different." I told her.

"I just need time to think. I promise we will hangout soon though."

Emma POV
I knew I probably should have said something nicer to him but I wanted to tell him the truth. After school Ashley and I went to the mall to get my dress for the dance. We went into my favorite store Charlotte Russe.

"So what color dress are you looking for?" Asked Ashley.

"I want go for a white and black one maybe I'm not sure."

After looking for a dress for over an hour I finally found a white scatter dress with a gold necklace thing in the front and decided to try it on.

"Emma you look amazing in that dress! I can't wait to see what it looks like the night of the dance when you have the whole look put together!" Ashley told me.

"Thanks. When I saw this I knew it was gonna be prefect. Now I'm hungry and I don't know about you but we need to get some food to eat."

"I'm starving too lets go!" She said.

Brad POV
I went home thinking about what I should do with Emma and why I did what I did last night.

"Brad is everything okay?? You look really depressed." Said Ben as I walked into the house.

"No... I ruined my chances with Emma. She meant everything to me even though I'm probably nothing to her."

"She will come around. You guys have been friends for as long as u can remember. Plus I think you and her have chemistry she is just scared to admit is because of her last relationship."

"Maybe..." I said with a sigh as I walked to my room and layed on my bed.

(3 hours later)

Emma POV
The mall was fun with Ashley but I couldn't stop thinking about Brad. Maybe I like him a little I guess but I'm not gonna go into another relationship. Not after what happened last time.

I was laying on my bed listening to music when I got a call from Brad. He said that he wanted to hangout at his place. I accepted even though I wasn't sure if I should.
