Getting stuck in trees! - FTO La Carnival Oneshot

(Alright so just before I start this I want to say thanks a bunch to @deceptive_lizard for requesting this it was a blast to write! Also I'm just gonna say that they're might be some errors in here such as Davis being called David. I don't know what's wrong with me but I noticed that I found that mistake a lot so if there is David written in there I mean Davis. I mean I'm writing about La Carnival after all and giving the guild some love since I don't see many stories about the guild here!)
"Sooooo now that we're an official guild now we should probably ask for quests from the magic council right?" Flurry asked Davis
"No Flurry that's not how these type of things work......" Davis sighed
"Well then how does it go then I mean you've been here longer that me right?" Flurry said
"Well yeah I guess you're right...but anyways how these things work is that we gotta go ask people for requests since no one really knows that we're a guild right now so basically we gotta asked people if they need help with anything.." Davis stated
"Well that should be easy then since this city is pretty big!" Flurry said with excitement to get their first request
"Well I mean half of people in Atlantide are scared of mages already so what could go wrong." Davis said sarcastically
"Oh come on don't be like that! I'm sure we could find something out of Atlantide!" Flurry said
"Sure...let's just get going before it turns dark and people think we're trying to rob them...." Davis said as he started to walk towards the city
"Good idea! Wait don't leave me here!" Flurry said following Davis
*Time Skip to when they get into Atlantide*
As they were walking into the main area they heard something from the distance and it sounded like a little girl...
"Alright who left their kid here again...?" Davis said as he started to walk towards the noise
Flurry followed him trying to hear the voice and all she heard was muffled "Help!" or "Help me I'm stuck!".
"Wait what do you mean by again...?" Flurry asked Davis out of curiosity
"Well some parents aren't the best at keeping track of their kids and they either lose them or the kids wander off by themselves losing their parents..." Davis stated
"Ooooohhhh I mean sounds reasonable Alantide is a big place you know? I got lost here sometimes as well!" Flurry added
"Well yeah I get that it's a big place and all but the parents really need to take better care of their kids..." Davis said
As Davis and Flurry were talking about how parents literally lose their kids here so often that it's just a common thing that people expect to happen. Both of them looked up and saw where that muffled shouts were coming from and they saw a little girl in a tree.
"Oh! New people please help me out as you can I'm stuck in this tree.." The girl shouted out to them
"If you climbed the tree couldn't you just climb back down..?!" Davis shouted out to the girl
"I'm too scared to...." The girl mumbled to them
"You're gonna have to speak up or else we can't help you!" Flurry said as they both walked to the tree
"I'm too scared alright! I was just following my cat and they went up into this tree..." The girl said in embarrassment
"Hey it's gonna be alright luckily for you I've got vine magic so I could scoop you off the tree and back down just hold onto the vine and don't let go for me!" Flurry stated
"Ok just make sure not to drop me alright." The girl added
"Of course it's my job after all!" Flurry said with excitement her first time helping someone else out in Alantide
As Flurry said that the girl stood up on the tree wobbling and with that Flurry took her grapple vine and scooped the girl right back down into the ground with that the girl was free to go.
"Good job you didn't squeeze a person to death or dropped them.." Davis said sarcastically
"Hey! I'm getting better.." Flurry protested
"Didn't say you weren't getting better.." Davis replied with
"So anyways what's your name sweetheart?" Flurry asked the girl
"My name is Stella..." Stella replied with
"Oh Stella! That such a wonderful name!" Flurry said with excitement
"Thanks......I guess..?" Stella said
"Hey kid do you know where you're parents are by any chance..?" Davis asked Stella
"Nope but I was last a the fountain you know like in the middle of the city?" Stella responded with
"Great then let's go to the middle!" Flurry said ready to go
"Wait I can't leave here yet!" Stella pointed out
"Why is that?" Davis asked
"Well I still need the find my cat.. He could be lost or scared and we need to find him!" Stella stated
"Oh god..." Davis whispered to himself
"Well first off! What's your cat's name?" Flurry asked
"His name is the Jumbo!" Stella said
"Is that because he's super big and fluffy!?" Flurry exclaimed
"Nope! It's because he has black fur like the midnight sky and the midnight sky is big so it makes perfect sense to call him Jumbo." Stella explained
Flurry looked at Davis and looked back at Stella.
"Yep the perfect name couldn't see it any other way!" Flurry agreed
"See you get it! Whenever I tell anyone else that they always just say that I should've named him Midnight." Stella complained
Davis let his mind wonder off on Flurry's and Stella's conversation since there wasn't anything that they talked about that sparked his interest. He just looked up at the sky that was basically sunset at this point god they've been out here walking for a long time...
"So anyways who are you guys?" Stella asked
"Well I'm Flurry and this is Davis!" Flurry said pointing to a spaced out Davis
"Is he ok?" Stella asked
"Yep he's perfectly fine! Davis!" Flurry said while jostling Davis out of his daydream
"What? Yup I'm Davis." Davis said
"Well I'm guessing you guys are mages or wizards of some sorts right?" Stella guessed
"Yup you're correct!" Flurry said
"So I'm guessing you guys are in a guild...?" Stella once again asked Flurry
"Correct again! We're part of a new formed guild called La Carnival!" Flurry said with jazz hands
"Ooooo! Sounds like fun!" Stella added
"Yeah it is a lot of fun! I mean the whole reason why we wanted to become a guild in the first place was to bring joy to people!" Flurry said looking back at Davis
"Well seems fun I wish I could join a guild..." Stella said
"Maybe when you're older your parents will let you join one!" Flurry said trying to cheer her up
"Yeah maybe..." Stella pondered
"I'm just curious but do you have any magic?" Flurry asked
"No not yet...but I'll have magic someday and when I finally have magic I'll beat up all the bad guys to protect Alantide!" Stella stated
"Sounds like you'll be a great addition to any guild!" Flurry said
"Hey guys we're here...." Davis said as they all looked at the big fountain
Stella was the first one to look around for Jumbo calling his name and everything soon Flurry and Davis joined in and after a good searching they finally found him in the fountain sleeping...?
"There you are Jumbo! What did I tell you about going off on you're own you gotta stick by my side you can't just keep running away like that!" Stella scolded Jumbo
"Finally we found the cat..." Davis said with his legs feeling like jello
"Yay!" Flurry celebrated
"Anyways as I was saying this is Jumbo isn't he the best!" Stella said hugging Jumbo
"Stella! Where are you?!" A woman shouted from being them
Stella looked behind here and it was indeed her Mom...
"Hey Mom! I'm over here!" Stella said waving to the woman
"Stella! Oh thank goodness I found you!" The woman said hugging her daughter in tears
Davis looked at Flurry and Flurry looked like she was gonna be in tears herself just at the moment.
"Are you ok?" The woman asked Stella
"Yeah Mom I found Jumbo and these wizards from a guild called La Carnival helped me to find Jumbo!" Stella said pointing over to Davis and Flurry
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't notice you guys at first! I guess I'm just not very aware of my surroundings." The woman apologized walking over to Davis and Flurry with Stella holding her hand
"No no! It's fine! I mean you did find your lost daughter after all.." Flurry said
"Oh! I didn't introduce myself yet apologies my name is Clara." Clara said
"Yeah we should probably introduce ourselves as well! My name is Flurry and this fellow over here is Davis!" Flurry said back to Clara
"Hi." Davis said
"Well it nice to meet you both and thank you for finding my daughter you don't know how much this means to me.." Clara thanked them both
"Oh no problem! It's my pleasure to help you out!" Flurry said
"Wait my daughter said that you guys were part of a guild correct?" Clara asked
"Yep we're part of a guild called La Carnival!" Flurry stated
"I guess you must be a starting guild so here take this as payment for finding my daughter and cat." Clara said as she handed Flurry a pouch full of gems
"Oh my! Thank you we're honored that we had this as our first "request"." Flurry thanked Clara
"No honestly you have no idea how much time and stress this saved me. So again thank you for finding these two!" Clara said
"As I said it was our pleasure helping you find your daughter and cat!" Flurry responded back with
"Well if you don't mind it's getting pretty late and we should be going home anyways." Clara stated
"Oh sure! Yeah it's getting pretty late and we should be getting along anyways our guild is gonna be pretty worried for us if we don't come back soon..!" Flurry said back
With that said they all departed their own ways Davis going with Flurry and with Clara going home with Stella and Jumbo.
"See told you that looking outside would be worth it and now we have some money to get some hot food on the table tonight! Plus we also helped someone in Alantide that was in need!" Flurry stated
"Yeah I guess you're right we're stepping in the right direction in becoming a guild that people know exist.." Davis said
"Today was a pretty productive day if I do say so myself but now I'm pretty tired and hungry so what do you want to get the guild for tonight?" Flurry asked Davis
"Well I've heard of this restaurant right down the street if you wanna do takeout tonight." Davis stated
"Yeah I'm really not in the mood to cook..." Fluffy added
"Then the restaurant it is." Davis said as he guided Flurry to the restaurant

I really liked just writing about La Carnival and they're adventures even if I don't really got a grasp of writing the guild it was still fun to do! Also I just want to thank you guys for over 200 reads I'm blown away by the response that I've gotten from this book! You guys are so kind and it's nice just to talk to people who are in the fandom as you are!
