An awkward hello

{Chapter 1, An Awkward Hello}

"Let's go!!" My best friend, Lucy squealed as she dragged me along with her. I groaned, letting her drag me. I did not want to be here, I wanted to go home. Then again I didn't actually want to go home, who would? With my dad there anyone would avoid 'home'.

"We are going to meet one direction" she said, with a huge excited grin. I rolled my eyes "It's the fourth time you say that Lucy" I said with a small giggle.

Lucy shrugged "Aye I'm excited" she said "I'm not a boring bum like you" she teased, I rolled my eyes "I'm different" I said as we followed the body guard through a hall way and to a room with a star on the shut door.

"This is it" Lucy squealed, the body guard opened the door and let us into a room with 5 boys inside.

I was now way out of my comfort zone. I tried to turn around and leave, but Lucy held me back, she was obviously holding in a scream as she stared at the five boys in front of her.

Liam laughed and opened his arms for her "well come here sweetheart" he said, she squealed and ran into his arms. Hugging him tightly, the rest of the boys joined in on the big group hug, I just stood at the door.

Soon they all let go of each other "This is my best friend August" Lucy said, reaching her hand for mine. I walked over to her and nodded. "Is she not a fan of us?" Harry asked, looking me over.

I looked at him crossing my arms "I can't hear you, you know" I said sarcastically. He blushed and smiled charmingly which made Lucy melt, but I just stood there unfazed.

Niall rolled his eyes and pulled me into a strong hug "well you get a hug too" he said with a laugh, I hugged him back gently then he let me go.

Louis just stared at me, which made me uncomfortable "Could I have a hug as well?" He asked shyly, Lucy giggled as she talked to Harry and Liam. I smiled and nodded and hugged his waist, he held me tightly. I let him go but he wouldn't let me go, I looked at Lucy for help and she pulled me from his arms.

"Don't steal my best friend" she huffed, he frowned and pulled me back to him. "Yeah well she's my best friend now" he said with a silly grin. I raised an eyebrow. She frowned and grumbled to herself.

After an hour we all became friends, I waved as I left with Lucy, she couldn't wipe the smile off her face. "They asked for our phone numbers" she squealed as we walked outside, I shivered wrapping my arms around my torso. It was cold outside, typical London night.

"August, your dad is here" Lucy whispered, nodding towards my dads car. He was waiting for me "Bye Lucy" I said as I hugged her goodbye, she waved as I left. I walked over to my dad keeping my head down and got in the car, he got in the car and took us home.

I avoided speaking as I hurried up the stairs and into my bedroom, I needed sleep. I crawled into bed and slowly fell asleep.
