When I received my letter from Hogwarts, I was thrilled. My feet burned with excitement as I danced around my room. That's why I didn't think twice about saying yes when my parents asked if I wanted to attend.

It wasn't until two years later, I would regret even stepping foot in this castle.

~*~*~

My tragic love destiny started the day I bumped into a small, skinny boy. I was twelve at the time and the boy I bumped into was also twelve.

He stood about three inches taller me, with black thin glasses, dark messy hair, and pale skin. He had a scar on his forehead that gave me goosebumps.

"Sorry about that. I'm quite new here so-" I cut him off. "It's alright! I'm kinda in a hurry." I patted his shoulders and before I danced off, I saw him smile a little. Naturally, I smiled back. I'm not sure if he saw it though.

"Ivy, wait up! You can't just bump
into someone and then dash off without a proper apology!!!" Para was running after me like a wild goose chase.

"Sorry, Para! It's important! We can't be late on the first day of Hogwarts!" I yelled the name Hogwarts into the air. I felt a little spark where my heart was and a big smile appeared on my face. Nothing could've prepared me for what happened next.

Suddenly the air stung my arms and I got chills down my spine. Standing over me was a figure about five inches taller. He had blonde hair and pale skin to match. His face glared down at me. I looked around for Para but she was too far behind me.

"And...who are you?" I looked at his green eyes. "Uh, I'm Ivy. Who are you?" He looked me up and down and sighed. "The names Malfoy. Draco Malfoy. I see you're a first year like me, let me tell you this." He got closer and said quietly, "Hogwarts is no match for a frail mud blood like you."

He then started to laugh with his friends and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"I'm not a mud blood." I mumbled over my breath. Somehow he heard it and his smile turned to a frown.

"What did you say to me, mud blood? If you're not a mud blood, then get out muggle." He shoved me towards the ground.

My eyes started watering and I couldn't help but turn red. "I..I'm a pure blood. My parents are Remus and Tonks." I said it quietly because my throat couldn't handle saying anything at normal volume right now.

He didn't hear it but he knew I said something.
"Don't you ever stop talking if you know it's good for you? Damn, you talk more than Potter does. Maybe I should just cut off your mouth!"
He started to laugh again with his two friends.

I wanted to run. I wanted to run all the way back to my home where nobody was this rude. Then, almost like magic, someone appeared behind me.

The air felt lighter and I felt a warm sensation in my stomach. "Leave her alone, Malfoy."

Draco held his head up. "Oh, speak of the devil. It's Scar Head. What, is this your little girlfriend?" He pushed me closer to the boy behind me.

I finally looked up and I realized. It was the boy I bumped into earlier. "Would you shut up? How many people are you going to torture?"

"Shut up, Pottah. Torturing is a little far. I just like to put people in their place." His smile faded and both Draco and Harry's eyes were locked to each other.

I've never felt so much tension before. My legs were shaking and not from the cold, but from the hatred they had for each other.

Before it got to the point where I almost collapsed, Para finally caught up to me.
She pulled my arm back to make a run for it.

Before I dashed off again, I looked at the boy who Draco called 'Potter'. "What's your name?"

"Mine? It's Harry Potter. Don't forget it." He gave me that same smile that made me feel safe.

Oh, I won't.
