Unknown POV

"What do you think?" My boss says through the phone.

"She seems nice and a great person." He growls. "But, she seems like a very trusting person so I should get her to trust me in no time."

"You better not fail me at this or some people will suffer consequences."

He hangs up and I gulp. Ali seems like a very nice girl, like I told my boss. I don't want to hurt her but if I don't, very important people will suffer and I'm closer to them than I am with Ali so I have to choose Ali to hurt. I hope one day she forgives me for this.

Ali's POV

I love having Zach in all of my classes because I can be with him all the time. He gets possessive when a boy comes around and talks to me. I keep assuring him I want him and only him but he says he isn't worried about me; it's about those guys. I always roll my eyes and change the subject. Today, I am going to visit my brother Ben. It was supposed to be a surprise but Riley told Amy and Amy told me. I have no idea what to wear. I decided to skip the afternoon classes to get ready. Zach was supposed to take me in two weeks but the grown vampires left town early. I am so excited to see Ben and meet my niece Alicia. I can't believe he never contacted me before to let me know he was alive and well. I guess he had his reasons, which hopefully I will find out today. Zach also told me there is someone moving in with the rest of the vampires and he's supposed to welcome him or her, that's why I need to hurry up in getting ready.

I'm sliding on my dark blue jeans when the window slides open and Zach appears. I scream and hide behind my mirror. "Zach, can't you knock? Don't you see I'm changing?"

"I don't mind the view sweetheart."

I blush. "Throw me my shirt." I extend my hand and he pulls me out and crushes me to his body. I blush some more and hide my face on his chest. He kisses the top of my head then slides my shirt down my head and I slide my arms through the holes.

He kisses my nose and says, "Let's go."

I have never felt so nervous in my entire life. I haven't seen Ben in a long time and I have missed him so much. I can't wait to see him again and meet my sister-in-law and my niece Alicia. I feel sad because Ben never contacted to at least let me know I was an aunt. I don't have a lot of money to buy her stuff but I would have spoiled her somehow.

"Ali."

What if Alicia doesn't like me?

"Ali."

I mean, we've never met so she has to like me, right?

"Ali?"

What if I say something to scare her off and she never wants to talk to me again?

"Alison!"

I look at Zach. "Hmm?"

"I called your name four times."

I blush. "I'm sorry, I was just thinking."

He nods. "Stop thinking then because we are here."

I look out the window and my jaw drops open. There is mansion after mansion. These places are huge! There is one that stands out more than the rest and it is at the end of the street with a mermaid as a fountain. The house has three floors. From the outside, it is so wide, it's unbelievable. I can't imagine the inside. Zach drives all the way down the street and I step out of his jeep and continue staring in awe. "Are you guys' rich?"

Zach chuckles. "I guess you could say we have some money stored away."

"Some?! This isn't just 'some' money. This is...this is a whole lot of money stored away; probably more than a whole lot of money."

"Babe, relax. My dad is the CEO of some companies all over the world. That's why he's always travelling along with the adult vamps."

"Oh, okay. Can I see Ben, please?"

"Eager, are we?"

"Zach, you know I haven't seen him in so long."

"I know. Let's go inside."

Zach leads me inside the huge house that I can't stop staring at. If it is possible that my jaw can drop lower, then it just did. The inside is so much better than the outside. A tour around this house will take all afternoon. Once you go inside the house, there is this huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling and to the left is a mirror and underneath, the shoes are in a very nice order, from small to big. I am terrible at describing things so that's the only thing I will describe. We go into the living room and there's this little girl that looks at me as soon as I walk in and comes running over to me and hugs me. I hug her but have no idea who she is. When she steps out of my arms she says, "Hi auntie. I'm Alicia."

My eyes immediately started tearing up. She is so beautiful. She has these big green eyes and black hair that is in two ponytails and she's wearing a red sleeveless dress. She looks so adorable. I wipe away the few tears that fell down my cheeks and say, "Hi Alicia. Can I give you another hug?"

She nods with a huge smile on her face and hugs me tight. "You're so adorable," I say.

"You are very pretty," she says.

"Where is your dad?"

"Right here." I raise my head and see Ben. I squeal and run over to him and jump in his arms and wrap my legs around his waist very tight; that is when the waterworks take place.

I start crying and he starts crying, too. "I've missed you so much," he says.
