There was one thing I was absolutely certain of, this wasn't an accident. When I awoke in a hospital bed at St. Mungo's I was shocked I was still alive. The shock wore off quickly as my next mission popped into my head, get out of the hospital before any one else got hurt. I swung my legs over the side of the bed, wincing and clutching my side. I scanned the room until I found my bag and clothes neatly folded on a couch on the opposite side of the room. Gathering as much courage and will as I could, I forced myself to stand and make my way to the couch. First things first, supplies. I filled my bag with as much medical supplies as I could without raising suspicion. I grabbed potions, bandages, and anything that looked like I might need it. There was no telling how long I would be on the run for. I zipped my bag and placed in back on the couch, trying to block out the pain in my side. As I put the bag down I heard a small knock at the door. I quickly slipped back into my bed. "Come in" I said, doing my best to sound as if the knock had woken me up. A man with platinum blonde hair dressed in Healer's robes entered the room. "Hi there Miss..Woodbridge" he said, checking his charts to make sure he said the right name. "I'm Healer Malfoy and I'll be taking care of you". He looked at me and flashed a small smile. I exhaled sharply, not realizing I was holding my breath. I managed to check in using my alias and had thus far not been found out. Alana Woodbridge, Not my favorite alias but it would suffice.

Although he didn't know it, I knew this Healer and I was glad he hadn't recognized me. Being this deep undercover meant a full appearance change. My long Y/H/C cut into a chin length bob and dyed red, colored contacts obscuring my Y/E/C eyes, now appearing to be purple. It was also lucky I was two years younger than Malfoy, if I had been in his year he might have recognized me right away. And as if all that wasn't enough, and in addition to being concerned with staying alive, I found myself realizing how attractive he had become. Years of torture and pain were wiped away from his face.

"How are you feeling today? You gave us quite the scare last night" his voice interjected into my thought stream. "That was quite the stab wound". His eyes glanced over my body, as if he was trying to figure out what to do next. I said nothing but nodded. "Lets have a look shall we?" He walked over to me and I pulled up my hospital gown just enough so that he could see the wound. "Wonderful, the skin has fully closed and there are no signs of an infection but I am afraid thats going to leave one nasty scar". He kept looking up at me, trying to engage me in some way but my mind was swirling with thoughts so his glances went unanswered.

"Do you remember what happened?" He asked, a tone of concern rising in his voice as he stared at a seemingly unresponsive patient. This snapped me out of my fog of thoughts. "Am I ready to be discharged or not" I asked sharply. He raised an eyebrow at me. "Not until you answer a few more questions about what happened". I sighed and looked from side to side before gesturing for the blonde to come closer. He took a few tentative steps forward and leaned in. "If I tell you, you will be dead in 24 hours so I suggest you discharge me before something happens that can't be undone". He took a step back stunned. "I don't know what you are involved with but I am sure that the Ministry can help". I scoffed. "Look, this goes way above anything I can explain to anyone so please, do yourself a favor, walk out of the room to get something and act surprised when I am not here when you get back".

I stood up and walked over to my clothes. "I.. I can't allow this please sit back down". I sighed again and turned to him, now fully clothed. The man who I had admired from a far finally stood before me, showing me compassion that he never had when we were at Hogwarts. "You are a nice guy now Draco, let me leave so that the world can have more time to get to know the you I always knew you could be". He looked at me shocked, after all, this statement was completely out of the blue. I could practically see the wheels turning in his head trying to figure out if he knew me. I picked up my bag and wand, throwing one last glance his way. "Don't follow me" I said. And with that, I disapparated. I eventually found out that moments after I disappeared a group of four men barged into the room, wands drawn.

"Where is she? Where is Y/N Y/L/N?" Draco Malfoy was truly dumb founded. "That was Y/N?" he thought. One of the men lunged at Malfoy and grabbed him by the collar of his robes. "Where is she??!!" the man yelled. Draco gulped. Deciding then that even though he hadn't spoken to Y/N much that he would protect her because she genuinely seemed terrified and he was curious as to why this terrifying group of individuals, was after someone as innocent seeming as Y/N. "I have no idea who you are talking about," he said calmly. "I haven't treated anyone by that name before."
