The next day

Im getting ready to meet dom. I have a good feeling about him idk why. I grab my black hoodie,my black jeans and put on some sneakers. I look into the mirror and check everything. I still can't believe that I look so good, God really put an effort into me. I grab my keys and go to my car. I get in and start it. I love the sound of this engine it makes calmes mee down. I drive off to the house.

30 minutes Later

I park infont of the house. I get out and stretch.
Are you ready for this Tom? I mean what could go wrong everything went great last time except that I hat to run away from some assholes. Right as you want to knock you hear a voice. You look at her and she looks my age.

Unknown: Hey!! Are you the guy that brought dol home yesterday?

You: Yeah he invited me to bbq today. Name's Tom btw

Letty: Letty. I don't know you but Dom doesn't invite everybody go his bbq so I'm assuming he likes you

You: he knows me as much as you do

Letty: yeah just keep thinking that. Come with mee I'll show you where he his

She takes mee to the back of the house. I see Dom and tow people standing beside me. Dom notices mee and smiles

Dom: Guys this is the guy who helped me after the crash.

He comes over and greets me

Dom: I'll introduce you to the others. You've met letty so that's out the way. He over to a girl and says.
Tom this is my sister Mia

Mia: Nice to meet you Tom thanks for getting Dom out of the car

You: Everbody would do that. But it's nice to meet you too Mia it's good that the big guy has somebody watching over him

We both chuckle and Dom introduces me to another man

Dom: This is my best friend vince known him since ever he's like a brother to me

We just nod at each other

Letty shouts out: the foods ready come eat guys!!

We walk to the big table and i sit next to Mia, there's lots of food on it.

I immediately grab a chicken wing but dom slaps my hand and I look at him confused

Dom: The first one who grabs something has to say grace. House rules

You still look confused and everyone laughs at you

Letty: Come on man it isn't that hard

Tom: ok but this is my first time so don't judge me

Vince laughs at your choice of words and Mia gives him a angry look that makes him stop immediately

Tom: Dear god in heaven we want to thank you for the food on the table,the new friendships and last but not least we want to thank you for these fast cars

Mia:Amen
Dom:Amen to that
Letty: Amen I already like him
Vince: Amen

Everyone grabs some food Mia starts asking me questions

Mia: So Tom what brings you to Los Angeles

You: I wanted a fresh start. And I've heard lots of things about the car scene down hear. Wanted to check that out two and maybe consider stayinh here for a bit

Mia: Only People who want to forget something and People who run away from something are the ones who need a fresh start so why do you need one?

They look at you and you sigh

I don't know why but I trust them

You: I raced in San Francisco against some rich dude I didn't know who he is but he wanted to race mee and I thought it would be easy money so i did it. I won with ease. But he didn't give me any money so we got into a fight and I broke his nose. Then I left. Turns out that he is the nephew of some drug guy and they send people to take care of me but they failed and I flee from them

Vince: So you came to La to start a new life without a drug lord whose trying to kill you

Tom: Yep

Vince: nice

Letty,Mia and Dom just noded

Dom: if you want to stay i might have some work for you

I look at them and say: yeah I'll stay

Dom smiles at you and you eat,drink and talk gor the rest of the night
