It may or may not have been ages since my last update....
Leo
Where do you find a missing person? You call the police or an investigator or something, right? Well not if your wife has been kidnapped by any type of monster. Now you know my problem.
You may have thought it was a slight over reaction of mine but the chances of me finding her are about 2/100 (the 2 because we have Percy and Annabeth). Accepting that I might not see her again is so hard and ridiculous. I don't want to be a demigod anymore, I give up.
So where am I at the moment thinking way to hard about things? I'm not entirely sure. First I was at the market, now I'm in a kind of basement. Yes, I have forgotten everything that happened for the last couple of hours. I could have literally said anything. I apologise to everyone I spoke to.
Strategy. Good thinking. If I was a monster, where would I take a person?
I have no idea.
Strangely enough, I've never kidnapped a 28 year old half-blood in New York. I kinda wish I have now because I could really use that information. I won't. Don't worry.
*Knock knock*
"What?"
"Leo, you should probably come out now. We have something to tell you." It was Hazel.
"OK."
I slump out from my position against the wall and stagger to the door. Swinging it open, I am blinded from the daylight (daylight) it's been a while since I was last outside, don't judge.
"You're awake!' Percy greats as I walk through it. I nod to show that I heard him, couldn't bring myself to do anything.
"Leo..." Annabeth begins, "do you know where, um, Isobel stayed whilst she and you were. Y'know..."
"Yeah. She was at her friend's house." I answer, not knowing where this was going.
"Why don't we go look for her there?" She suggests.
"OK. But, judging by your faces when I first came out of that room, I don't look decent enough to leave the house."
Frank chips in, "Why don't you go use our en suited? I have stuff in there you can use." I nod again before ascending up the stairs.
Frank and Hazel's house was quite nice. Not particularly big, not particularly small. I look around before spotting what appeared to be the master bedroom and walk over to that.
The bed is covered in a purple duvet, I expected nothing less from Frank on that, and Hazel's (I'm assuming it was Hazel's) dressing table is covered in picture's of the 7 and I.
I make my way to the bathroom and glance at myself in the mirror. Yeah. I looked terrible. I'm glad-well, not glad but you know what I mean-that I'm the one in this situation because I would not have been able to stifle a laugh at the way I looked.
My hair was a curly mess on my head and my face tearstained. I always wondered if this was an over reaction. But there's no one to compare myself with as no one else has been in this situation before, from what I know, of course.
I splash water over my face and brush out the terrible knots in my hair. I opened the cupboard above the sink to find an unused toothbrush that I assumed they wouldn't mind me using, and brushed my teeth. Hey, I looked half alright.
I start my way down the steps before hearing muffled voices at the bottom, (so cliché) but instead doing the normal thing of listening to whatever they're saying, I just carried on the journey,
No words are said, as Nico, Percy and Annabeth follow me out the door (Piper would have come but she couldn't).
I actually didn't know the exact house that was Emily's, but they didn't need to know that. So we catch a bus to the end of her road.
Somehow, I had a lot of false hope. I knew she wouldn't be there, nobody would kidnap her back to her own house, yet I kept believing.
We knocked on the door.
A lady with poofy blonde hair opens it and smiles.
"Leo!? Sorry, Isobel's not in. Hand on, I thought she was with you. Come to think of it, she didn't come home last night." Her smile fades as the sentence goes on,
"Sorry, Emily?" Nico guesses, "But Isobel was taken by somebody yesterday, we were just wondering if she came back here. It appears she hasn't, though."
"No, sorry. Are you gonna call the police? No, you probably won't. I would offer you in but it seems you're kind of in a hurry."
She looks at me for a second, noticing my bloodshot eyes.
"Yeah, sorry, thank you for your time, though." Percy says before she closes the door.
Great.
