Chapter 1. Go Away!

The rain pattered down in the land of Aaa for it was once again Monsoon season which meant everybody was inside and out of the cold, well, except a certain mischievous Vampire and an uptight Candy Prince who happened to be transporting some pudding to the next town over.

"Banana guard, once you've loaded in that last crate, i insist you hurry home straight away you're going to catch a cold out here" The prince helped push the last crate up onto the delivery truck with the yellow skinned guard "now my citizen, please go home to you're family"  he stressed slightly then shutting the back of the truck and patting the side of it signaling the driver to leave

"yes sir!" The Banana guard gave a swift salute and awkwardly scurried back into the kingdom gates making police siren noises, the truck had already long gone and driven off no where to be seen.

He sighed to himself "i hope my dear friends have not caught themselves a cold either, hopefully cake has made Fionna stay inside and not go out adventuring.... knowing her she would if she had the chance" he raised his hand to his bottom lip closing his eyes as he chuckled softly in thought, that was until he let out a small petite sneeze "oh glob, here i am trying to stop people from catching colds and I'm standing in the rain now having most likely caught one" he hurriedly splashed through some puddles and ran throughout the kingdom buildings and alleyways finally making it to his castles front steps.

"SIRE!" Peppermint maid ran out helping him inside while he coughed and sneezed "oh dear, oh dear, you run along upstairs and change, get yourself into bed and I'll come up with some chicken soup for you" she closed the big castle door behind them in a hurry to stop any rain from making its way inside.

"I thought you had gone home like i had asked the other servants?" He began to walk across the grand hall as he asked this.

"Oh don't you worry about me prince Gumball I'll just do this for you and I'll be out of you're hair" she toddled off to the kitchen to begin preparations for his food.

".... Thank you!" He called out after her then coughing a little after the sudden loud use of his voice, all he heard back was a soft sweet laugh from her as she disappeared off "well then, i guess its pajama time" roaming a bunch of halls and corridors until he came to his bedrooms grand pink doors which had finally been completely repaired after the incident with the ice queen where she pretend to be him, rubbing at his eyes softly he walked through the doors shutting them behind himself.

He strode over to his window opening it up to look down below at his kingdom proudly "i really do love my people" he thought making his way to the cupboard pulling out a black pajama shirt that had candy maracas on the front "...heh..." he remembered when Marshall had given this to him, he knew Marshall didn't like him very much but it was nice to know he still cared even just a little "Oh glob dammit." He pouted trying to pull it over his head

The door to his room opened swiftly with the humming of Peppermint maid to follow "Oh!?" she let out a soft shriek of surprise "I am so sorry, i should of knock!, E- excuse me! I'll be leaving now." she sat his food down on his desk and bolted out of the palace flustered, she made sure to turn all the lights off and lock the big palace door before she left though.

"Well then ..... this is both amusing, frustrating and embarrassing" it went deafeningly quite as he finally managed to pull the shirt down over his head.
