3rd POV

The battle was hard.

It was just Arthur, Merlin, Lancelot, Gwaine, Elyan, Percival, and Leon against at least 70 soliders, maybe more. They obviously belonged to Morgana. It was 7, against 70. Well, in all but Lancelot's eyes it was 6 against 70.

Merlin was doing his usual, lieing low and only using his magic to help the others when he was sure they couldn't handle it.

But the enemy's just kept coming. So Merlin picked up a sword and ran in. The knights looked at him weird, but were grateful for the help, even if it was an "inexperienced" warrior wielding the blade.

He made it look like he was using his blade but in reality it was all his magic. At one point, when he thought the knights turned their back, he quickly flung two or three soilder back with a flick of his wrist.

But in reality, not all the knights had their backs turned.

Gwaine and Percival looked on in absolute shock.

Their friend was a sorcerer? Percival was thinking about how hard it must have been to keep it a secret. Gwaine was just thinking about how much better his pranks could have been if he had known.

But neither of them felt any anger towards their friend. He was still Merlin. Just a little but more powerful Merlin.

Yet still dumbstruck, they continued fighting.

They must have cut down 40 of them, but even more came. There was at least 60 of them still in the clearing.

Merlin searched for Arthur in the chaos. He couldnt find him. That spun Merlin into a panic. Was he alright? Was he injured? Had he failed to protect him?

But Merlin spent too long searching, and his sword was knocked of his hand. Merlin was kicked in the chest and fell backwards onto his back. The man that disarmed him went to stab him in the heart, but Merlin put his forearm up, blocking the man's attempt at the kill, but successfully cutting a hole straight through Merlins arm.

He cried out in pain. He started scouting backwards, trying to get away from the man, cradling his hurt arm.

He looked around. Could he use magic? He spotted Gwaine hacking his way through the men, obviously trying to get to him. Gwaine was staring him down. He was being watched. He couldnt use his magic to save himself. The man raised his sword up, and Merlin closed his eyes, bracing for the pain he would feel in his chest.

He thought about the knights. Would they be okay without him to help? He thought to Arthur. If he would die today, how would Arthur take it? Would he be alright? We Camelot be alright? He thought to Giaus. He would he heartbroken. He thought to Gwen. Hopefully shes doing well, and will he alright.

The sound of metal piercing flesh rings in Merlins ears.

But it's not Merlins flesh that his been pierced. He opens his eyes to see Arthur behind the man, who now had a hole in his chest. The man falls forward and Arthur offers a hand to Merlin.
