"Nagisa, can I ask you something?"

"Sure, what is it?"

Kayano sat beside him at the sofa as she had just finished washing the dishes
"I..umm about the..letter I sent out to you a few years ago I-" she mustered up her courage and sighed
"I just wanted to ask you...what you felt after reading that, I... We're just really close right now and I'm really happy about that but it just feels like we're ignoring the subject"

Nagisa looked at her with his soft blue eyes
"You wanted to ask me how I felt after reading it? Sure"

"You don't have to feel pressured to answer ok? It's fine if you don't want to i-"

He chuckled and caught her off "no no that's not it, Kayano, you never change? You know that? You still stutter and ramble when you're flustered about something"

Oh how embarrassed she was at this moment, and yes she was flustered, she won't deny that
She's basically telling her best friend that she liked for a long time now that she wanted to learn how he felt when he read her love poem

"And my answer.....Kayano, honestly..I felt really happy"

"Y-you did?"

"Of course I did, and I was surprised as well, you know Karma said I was dense and wow he was right"
She laughed at this which made Nagisa laugh as well
"I didn't really expect you to like me Kayano and you're right I guess we we're ignoring the subject, I actually wanted to talk about this too but I just thought that it would fluster you or something like that"

"Well ,I guess you're right"

"But nothing changed, I still feel a lot comfortable around you just like before I hope you feel the same way towards me"

She nods at him "of course I do, I still am comfortable around you just like before, I might have just admitted that I liked you but I don't wanna be like those cliche dramas that after the whole confession they stray away from each other"

"Agreed"

"Kayano I also wanted to tell you that i-"

They both were surprised when they heard a knock and the doorbell ring

"Who could that be?" Kayano asked him

"I don't know, let me get that, excuse me, I'll be back in a second k?"

She nods her head at him as she sees him stand up from the sofa and walk by the door leading outside

What was he about to say though? She thought

Nagisa twisted the silver doorknob and was surprised at who it was
"Karma?"

Kayano turned her head towards the door as she heard the familiar name

"Karma??"
What was he doing here? It's already late

But what even surprised them both was that he was looking really down and he had tear stained cheeks

This was a new sight to them, the great Karma Akabane, the sadistic red head was crying at Nagisa's doorstep
What could be the reason for such a strange event?

"Karma? What's up?Are you ok?" Nagisa asked worriedly at his red headed friend

Karma lifted his head that was just staring at the floor seconds ago to look at Nagisa
And then shifted his eyes to Kayano who was sitting in the living room
"Oh, didn't mean to barge in Nagisa" he said as he hiccuped
He reeked of alcohol
Did he drink?
"Karma what's wrong?"

"What? *hic*" he raised an eyebrow at the blue haired male
"Can't I *hic* visit my friend? Hmm? I see miss superstar is here as well
Hiya *hic*" he waved at her and the female just smiled awkwardly at him

"Karma, are you drunk?"
Karma laughed "maaaybeee"

Now the two really were worried
Nagisa stepped aside
"Come on in. Karma"
Karma did so and just seconds before entering and he immediately fell down to the floor in a sitting position
"Karma! You're really drunk"
Nagisa yelped as he watched the red head chuckle
"Yeah yeah, just had a shitty day that all, I just wanted to spend some time with my best friend, hehe didn't know I would be thirdwheeling tho, sorry bout this Kayano"

"I'm sorry about this Kayano, I know you wanted to spend some time, but Karma usually comes here when he has problems"

Kayano walked over to the two and helped Nagisa on making Karma stand up
"Does he usually get drunk?"
Nagisa shakes his head and they both places Karma on the couch, now he was unconscious
"He usually never gets drunk unless he had that big of a problem, yeah he does drink but he never gets this drunk"

Kayano looked at her friend with worried eyes and back at Nagisa
"I'll help you take care of him then, he's still my friend"

"That's kind of you Kayano" he smiled at her then looked back to the red head sitting still unconscious on his sofa
"Seems like he's going to be out for a while, can you adjust his head on the pillow while I get him a blanket?"

"Sure"

After they did that they sat down beside their friend
"I've never seen him like this before"
Kayano muttered
"Yeah well I have, but it's never gotten as far as him crying.. that took me off guard"
He looked at her and gave her a small smile "I'm sorry I forgot to tell you Karma comes here often , I ended up making you take care of him"

"You make it seem like we're not friends haha, and it's fine, it's great to see how much you care for him Nagisa, also I just care for him as much as you do, he is my friend and classmate, he's been with me throughout a whole entire unforgettable year"

Kayano looked around
And her eyes darted off to the kitchen
"Wanna help me make some hang over soup for when he wakes up?"

Nagisa nods at her and stands up
"Sure why not, I think he's gonna be out for about more than an hour, he's already off to dream land right about now"

The brown haired girl chuckled
"You're not wrong about that, let's go chef Nagisa"

He laughed "ok then, let's go"
