Characters: Fuel and Lucas from Mother 3
-----
Fuel ran out into the open space, looking very relieved.
"Whew! Glad we got outta there! Right, Lucas?" When he didn't get an answer, Fuel turned around to find nothing but the eerie house behind him. Lucas was nowhere to be found. Panic starts to spread all over his body. Lucas was right behind him, right?
Gazing back up at the house that loomed over him, Fuel knew that he had to go back. He couldn't leave Lucas in there! Poor blond must be terrified! Fuel sighed as he slowly walked to the door, wooden planks creaked as he stepped. Gulping down his terror, Fuel uneasily opens the door and walked in.

"Lucas?" Fuel called out. He found Lucas but something was off. The boy was just standing in a corner of a dusty room, not moving an inch. Fuel crept up to him and was about to tap him on the shoulder when suddenly Lucas whipped around, eye to eye with the brunette.
Fuel jumped in place, suddenly frozen at the sight of Lucas's ocean blue eyes.
"Hello, Fueellll....."Lucas dragged out his name, a sinister smile starts to creep on his face. Fuel shivered at the tone. This wasn't Lucas.
"I ca-came Looking for you! I w-wa-was so worried!" Fuel shuddered as he explained. Lucas dropped his head down and let out a long, slow chuckle.
"Oh, you FOOLISH boy..hehe...."
Fuel didn't understand what was happening. Lucas was a whole new person, not the sweet, kind, determined lad that he used to know. This, whatever the being is, is not his Lucas. The two stayed in the same spot until Lucas if that's even his real name, started to circle around Fuel who was still frozen in place.
The spider-looking creature roared in rage as Fuel scrambled away, tripping on the thick webbing along the way. His heartbeat beats loudly in his chest like a bass drum.
Ba-dump! Ba-dump! Ba-dump!
Fuel skidded to a complete stop with everlasting panic in his eyes. He came to a dead end. The creature crawled closer, loud tics and tacs littered the air. Fuel whipped his head back and forth, scanning the place for a weapon. Anything will do!
The creature growled, its pincers moved menacingly. With his back against the wall, Fuel spotted a piece of broken glass in the corner of his eye. He slowly picked it up, eyes on the creature, never breaking the contact. Biggest shard in hand and gripping it tightly, Fuel's body was shaking, adrenaline-pumping through him again.
Finally, the creature lunged at Fuel, but Fuel was quicker. He managed to stab it on the head and ducked underneath. He books himself out of the webby room and shut the door.
Sliding down to the ground, Fuel pulls his legs to his face and started to cry.
Sobs racked in his body. He wanted to go home!
Fuel woke up with a start. Chest heaving and cold sweat running down, he looked around and saw that he was in his room, safe and sound. Fuel shook his head in confusion. Did he just had a nightmare? It felt so real that Fuel pinched himself all over to make sure. Then his thoughts drifted to Lucas. Lucas! He had to make sure he was alright! Getting up and rush to put on his clothes, his father, Lighter, came to see what's got his son all worked up. "You okay, son?" concerned his father. Fuel popped his head through his rugby shirt and gave Lighter a reassuring smile. "Yeah, I'm okay. I'm headed out to see the twins before I go to the bakery if that's okay with you?" Lighter thought about it before he gave his son a good to go and Fuel ran past him and burst out the door. He kept on running, stopping to catch a breath or two. At last, he made it to the twins' house.
Knocking on the door, Fuel started to get apprehensive. Rolling on his heels, Hinawa opened the door with a gentle smile on her face. "Oh, it's you Fuel, what brings you here?" she asked. Fuel swallowed thickly, should he tell her about the nightmare? Hinawa spoke before he could answer. "If you need to see my boys, wait right here," as she said she yelled Lucas and Claus' name and he heard the scuffle of feet coming towards him. "FUEL!!" the twins shouted in sync. Fuel smiled, seeing the twins always made him feel better but right now he needed to talk to Lucas. "Hey, Claus, I need to speak to Lucas for a sec."
Claus just blinked before he nodded. "Okay, but why?" Fuel bit his lip and looked away. He didn't want to leave Claus out but this was between him and Lucas so he can't tell him. At least not at this moment. "Thanks, Lucas, you coming?" Fuel asked with his hand outstretched. Lucas nodded as he took his hand. As they both walked into a quiet clearing, Lucas can see the distress on his best friend's face. "Hey Fuel, is something on your mind? You know you can tell me right?"
Fuel exhaled as he let go of his blond friend. He proceeds to tell him all about the nightmare he had.
