As Oliver woke from his coma, his siblings clamored to get to him. Aaron was the first to reach him, and he seemed shocked at Oliver suddenly getting up.
"Dude! What happened? You were out cold for weeks!" Oliver stayed still, without talking. His open eyes were the only indicator of his consciousness. "Oliver? Buddy? Are you alright?" Oliver slowly got up in a sitting position, and said
"Where are we? I could have sworn we were in Octaria, why are we in Comet City again? Aaron sighed and responded."When you got knocked out, we had to leave. So we packed everything up, and went to the only place we knew we'd be safe."
"Oh... I see," Oliver replied. Oliver climbed out of bed, despite his his siblings attempts to get him to rest a bit. He looked around and asked "so, where's the food? I'm starved"
"Same place as always" Cherry said, "or did you get amnesia too?"
"No, no I got it Cherry," Oliver went to a small, broken cupboard on the ground and pulled out a small bag of rice. "Hmm, looks like there isn't much to go around..."
"Was there ever a point where we did have enough to go around?" Aaron said with a chuckle.
"Good point," Oliver replied with a sigh "but that's never stopped us before, has it now?". Oliver got himself a bowl of rice, and a glass of water to wash it down. "So, how has training been going? And where are the others?"
Aaron grinned and replied "my training has been just fine, I've learned some lighting skills, and using lightning dash I can move faster then a plane! What do you think?"
Cherry just glanced over at Oliver and said "It's going okay. I can throw a punch that can break wood, and I have basic fire magic, so I'm just about set."
Oliver smiled at them. "I'm glad to hear it! Now, about the others? Where'd they run off to?" Oliver asked, allowing himself to seem a bit more nervous than he intended.
"Chill out bro, they're out getting some more resources. No trouble around here for a while" Aaron said laughing.
"Good to hear." Oliver said as he turned around. "I do wonder what to train on first though. if I'm gonna survive, I'm gonna need magic that can defeat my enemies. This could be. . . A bit of a problem. I'll need to consider it a little more first." Oliver thought as he walked out the door. "It may be tougher than I first thought to get out of comet city. . ." Oliver left the shack that the group stays in, and went to gather food and think about what he would train on. "But I don't need to think about it to fast, after all, who would want to kill an orphan? There would be no reason." He thought with a smirk.
He didn't yet know how wrong he was. He had thought his biggest troubles were over, but the real troubles hadn't even begun.
