!WARNING! !BLOOD!

     "Hello Detective L/n."

My breathe started to get heavy with fear as I sit up quickly, and hop out of bed. "Now, now detective, no need to get so shaken up." I heard the person on the other line say with a grin imminent in their voice. "It gives you stress lines."

I spin around the room, but when I saw nothing I ran to the window. I look up and down and  all around to try to spot them, but I couldn't find anyone because of the darkness.

"You know you wont find us from looking out the window." That familiar charming voice rings in through the phone instead of the previous voice. I start to panic a little before the third and last voice steps in. "Panicking wont help you find us." I heard the British voice say. My teeth grit together as I try to listen to the background to see if their was a hint of where they were.

The only thing I heard though filled me with dread. In the background I heard the muffled screams of a female. My eyes go wide with shock as I just about dropped my phone.

"Ah so you heard her." The first one comes back to say. I can only assume that it was the masked male from the video. Before I can say anything else I heard the muffled scream get a little louder as if she had been hurt worse. I didn't know who the girl was or where they were but all I knew is, listening to those monsters hurt an innocent p*ssed me off.  (sorry I don't cuss)

"You lay another hand on her and I swear...." I started only to be cut off by the second voice coming back. "You swear what?" I stand their. 'He's right I can't currently do anything...'

"I'm assuming you understand the situation now!" The masked males voice came back. "You can't do anything, your helpless." My hands clinch together into a fist. I don't like being helpless, but then again who does? I've always wanted to be able to protect the people around me, but right now their is someone out there who needs my help and I can't do anything.

My thoughts were once again cut off. "As fun as this has been we need to go." The British male in the background says. I heard the other two respond with an ok to him. "WAIT!" I tried to stop them but before I can get another word out there was a gun shot sound that rang through the building then a female scream.

"Talk to you later detective." The three callers hung up. I looked at my phone for a second before grabbing my gun from under my pillow. I rush out of my room. The Jimmy, Chandler, and Chris were sitting up on the couch and ground confused, while Karl was poking his head out of his room.

"Stay here." I commanded of them. They quickly realized this wasn't me messing with them. I rush out and as I passed by through the hallway I ask everyone to go back inside. Everyone in my apartment building knows that I'm a cop and not just a random person running around with a gun. I run down the stairs and poked my head through each of the floors to check and tell everyone to go back inside.

I finally reach the main floor. I swing open the door only to be met with a dreadful sight. The receptions was sitting in a chair in the middle of the room covered from head to toe in blood. I let out a small gasp as I realized the situation at hand.

I pulled out my phone and quickly called the cops. I looked around to see if I can find any clues as to where the killers went, but just as before there was nothing. I sigh and tuck my gun away.

I walked up to the girl and observe the damage done to her. Her normal strawberry blonde hair that would fall gracefully around her shoulders was now matted down and stuck to her face with blood staining it. She had a gunshot wound straight to the middle of her fore head just inches above her perfectly plucked eyebrows that I was always jealous of.

Her normally bright vibrant green eyes were dull and lifeless. She also had blood trickling out of the corner of her mouth however the area around her mouth was only a slight red probably duct tape. I looked down at her clothes which were messy most likely from trying to escape.

She had cuts and stab wounds all over her body all of them new and fresh. I then look at her wrists only to see about 6 six zip ties just on the one hand. I looked at the other hand to see the same amount. 'Wow they did not want her to escape.' I think to myself. I then somehow just notice the amount of duct tape that was wrapped around her torso.

I go back to looking at her wrist as I hear the police cars drawing closer. They were severally bruised from cutting off circulation. I then notice something else that caused me to frown greatly. On her left hand sat a beautiful engagement ring.

I stand up straight and turn around to step outside. I was standing in the cold wind waiting for the police cars to pull in when I suddenly felt something wet drop on to the top of my head. I touched it and brought my hand down to inspect it only to find the all to familiar red substances.

I'm hesitant to look up in fear that it might be someone else that I like. That's when a piece of paper floats down in front of me. I pick it up as I feel the blood drip down on me some more. The red and blue lights flash before me but I can't hear anything. It feels like time in going slowly as I unfold the paper.

On the paper it simply reads, 'He got in the way.'  I slowly look up causing the blood to drip on my face as I look straight into the dead eyes of...
