I let myself get lost in the fragrant cloud of incense smoke. The distant hum of soothing Japanese music calms out my senses and helps me concentrate on worshipping Lord Buddha. The light breeze outside the small carpeted-prayer room shakes the small lanterns, rattles the dream catcher and wraps its cool form around the sacred altar. I murmer a string of Dhamma Precepts as I vow not to lose myself in the addictive joy of some sins and try hard to abide by good conduct as much as I can. Although, deep inside, I can feel my inner self sighing and shaking its head.

You? Good conduct?, I sense it mocking me. I bite my lip as if it would stop the flow of dark thoughts into my mind. Deep down, I know that this will never be my fate.

My fate... I think as I lift the ends of my kimono and get up. Taking a hold of the incense sticks, I fix them on a hole in a plate-like holder. The trail of smoke revolves around Lord Buddha's figure. If they ever got to know... Dammit!

I squeeze my eyes shut ; shouldn't have sworn. I bring my palms together and pay my last respects with a bow at the statue.

It's just as I leave the prayer room and slip into my sandals that I hear a huge crash...no, an explosion from the other side of the wooden house. The high frequency from the explosion sets something off in my ear and the next thing I know, I let out a small gasp and fall to my knees. Hot blood trickles down my left ear lobe. My vision goes double as I stare at the my fingers coated with dark red blood. No. No, way they found me this quickly!

My mind scrambles to get a hold on reality. I get on my feet snd start running towards the main dorm room. I drag my hand along a side wall to take a sharp detour down the wooden corridor outside. The blood from my fingers leave claw-like marks on the pure white wall, but now isn't a time to worry about that. God, no! I can't have anything happen to them. Happen to them because of me! My vision washes over with blurriness but I keep pushing on. On the way, I smooth my waist length chocolatey dark hair into a bun by pushing a pin into it.

This time, a crash takes me by surprise. I'm closer to the enemy. Without stopping, I reach into the waistband under my kimono ( which I only take off in the washroom) and pull out a kunai. Anger takes control of my emotions. If you hurt any one of them- Suddenly, I crash into someone in front of me. Instantly, I draw out my kunai as reflex and pull it at my attacker's face.

"Vinna, what the hell?" the tall lanky boy in front of me gasps with pain.

I gasp in return as I see the cut I've made on the side of his face. But the only thing that comes to me is how, if this were my enemy, the cut isn't deep enough even if he got to surprise me first.

I say nothing. A small wave of relief floods over me as I grab his hand and run the other way into the low-roofed house. I can't let the enemies see him.

"Chanyeol, where are the others?" I ask him while we run through empty rooms... all searched out. I gulp hoping I won't catch a glimpse of a body.

"I was hoping you'd know," he says behind me. "I heard a crash and-and"

I find it hard to swallow. How am I ever going to be able to round up the other eleven guys before they blow up this entire place?!

I briefly consider one option : we can split up. I instantly decide against it, Chanyeol might be a killer dancer with killer stamina, but I don't think he'll be able to fight back correctly with a kunai. Hell, even I still am not good at it. Besides... I don't want to lose him.

I grip his hand tighter and turn on a room, just when I see something blurry move in front of us. I immediately hold up the kunai in front of me, just as something slides against it with unexpected force. I meet my attacker straight in the eye. Eyes as blue and at the same time, stormy as the atlantic sea. Their main characteristic.

"Chanyeol, run!" I shout over the speedy meet of metal-on-metal. Out of the corner of my eye, I see him staring transfixed at the scene in front of him. "Run, you baboon! Find the others and go somewhere safe!"

He jerks back to reality and I see his determination rise. "You mad? I'm not-"

Another crash sounds behind him. I take the momentary distraction to lunge at my enemy. My kunai cuts deep right through his abdomen. He stumbles back, and I take the opportunity to stab his heart. His eyes open wide, the blue of his irises startling me as well. They look mechanical, not natural. Blood seeps through his black clothing, near his heart. I don't wait another heartbeat. I grab Chanyeol and take off. It's right when we see a door to the outside that the horrible smell reaches us. My heart sinks. No, don't look.

I slow my pace because Chanyeol does from behind me.

"Hyung..." His voice breaks.

My heart folds up on itself. Guilt rises up my body. Not Xiumin... But sure enough, there, in a pool of blood is his body. Left with a huge hole where his heart had been, his lifeless eyes stare up to nothing. I notice Chanyeol's frame start to shake as well as tears prickling at my eyelids.

I gently touch Chanyeol's hand. The silent message of "we have to go" reaches to him. Although, his eyes seem to plead : "We can't leave his body here".

All he says is, "God dammit.", and he wipes at his eyes with his jacket sleeve.

We are running out of time, but I'm afraid to rush him. Finally he says, voice lifeless, "I think I know where the others are."and we head towards the wood in the neighborhood just as the house goes up in fire behind us.
