The King's Only Queen

Chapter One

In the land of the gods,where the Dragons roam the sky. The shinigami would train,and the Kami would watch over the living,sat a palace towards the east. It was a large piece of land,with beautiful flowers and various of insects.  Butterflies floating in the sunny skies and cute white rabbit pounced around the area. One can hear the chirping of birds,and the calling of Dragons. The music made from swordplay; The knights training early in the morning. One of the Queens trained amongst them. Her brown hair flowing in the wind as she fought her captain head on. Swords clashing with vigorous speed and force, the captain tried his best to keep up with his Queen,but in the end, he was bested.

The Dragon Queen looked down at the Captain with a smirk on her face,she placed her sword in her shealth and helped the man on his feet.  Her crimson eyes held authority of an admiral. Her body hold such posture, the Kami Hachiman deemed her worthy to be a warrior of the gods. Both sisters were worthy of such honor.

Ryuuki-sama, I wish I was strong as you are.. " The Captain -Takeshi Onari -said.

"You will be.." Ryuuki said,crossing her arms over her chest. Takeshi smiled at her support, than looked up at the balcony.

" has Kumiko-sama been standing there all this time ? " He asked, afraid that she may have seen everything that happened to him.

"Hai.. " Ryuuki said with a smirk,before waving at her twin sister.

Kumiko smiled and waved back,her delicate hands on large pillar next to her. Her long hair was coiled into a tight and lovely bun with braids and pins. Ryuuki cared less about the upkeeping of her beauty, but Kumiko had little choice. The Kami simply asked of Kumiko to dress as Queen and handle the negotiations as well as peace treaties.  Ryuuki simply did military duties, but still held her authority as Queen. The two were inseperable,and Kumiko wouldn't wanted any other way.

"Nee-chan! " The younger twin chimed from the three story balcony. she sounded like she was closer. 

"Oi! Kumiko-chan!  You want next?" Ryuuki called out,but Kumiko shook her head. Careful that her hair did fall. 

"I ate sweets before I came out here! " She patted her belly. Ryuuki shook her head, one day, her sister's going to turn into a giant donut. Then she'll have to explain to her mother why her sister is drizzled in sprinkles. Ryuuki walked back to the palace. She needed rest,and a nice hot bath to soothe her skin. But when she stepped her right foot in the house, she looked over her shoulder.  Kumiko drew out her kunai from within her sleeves.  Someone was coming, and judging by their Ki,they didn't appear friendly. One was stronger than the other.

   "Kumi...." Ryuuki called out.  "Get inside and hide..! "

"Not without you,Ryuuki! " The Other Queen called out, one of the lieutenants held out his blade,and looked back at Ryuuki. "You get inside to,Ryuuki-sama.  We'll take it from here..! " Ryuuki can see from the other side of the hill,blue hair moving towards them. A swaying of a tail coming closer and closer.  Ryuuki ran inside, while Kumiko watched. She can see the invaders making their way to her castle. The man with the blue hair was glaring at her from afar,and he smirked at her. Kumiko  felt her sister grabbing her by the arm and dragging her down the steps,and deep within the palace. Into a large chamber made of marble flooring.  Kumiko was pacing back and forth.  Here hands in her robe,and her crimson eyes looked so scared. She was starting to sweat,so she stripped off her robe and went to the closet, looking for something fitting to wear rather than 12 robes sewn into one. When she finally got into one of her favorite cape -like suits,she went back and saw Ryuuki hovering over the illusion window - a window that can be seen from the outside in,but not vice versa. Their men were dying, The only one standing was Takeshi, he was fighting one of the beasts. Where had the man gone? Did he leave?  No, of course not, the other pets would leave as well. Kumiko closed her eyes and listened.  The man was inside the house, looking for them. They can hear his footsteps creaking against the wood. Slowly. Wandering. His ki lingering passed the chamber entrance, and making it's way upstairs.  "Damn... I can smell her..!" The man swore. The twins looked at each other, and then noticed where the voice was coming from. The man was upstairs in Kumiko's chamber. "C'mon!  Where could she be?!" His patience was running out,and so was Ryuuki's.  Kumiko carefully tread towards the wall and focused on shifting a portal to the Kami. Ryuuki made a window on the ceiling.  Watching the intruder from distant keen eyes. "What do you see?" Kumiko whispered. " He's going through your belongings,I'm assuming he's looking for anything with a strong enough scent to lead him close enough to where we are."  Kumiko watched him from behind her sister. The man flipped over her bedding,and saw her weapons. Her kunai needles were the only thing there. She armed herself with the other weapons : Her Dual swords made with dragon talons, her fans that were carved by deceased dragon bones, and her Sais -a gift from Amaterasu Okami, her aunt and goddess of the sun. "I gotta give it to her,she's no dumbass. " The man complimented. Kumiko felt a sense of pride enter her spirit.
