Sana a grand city, best known as the City of Black. Filled with buildings that are built with charcoal black colour bricks everyone in the city knows that it is a taboo to return home after 6pm simply because no one knows what is lurking in the dark after the sun goes down.

“Remember to come back before 5pm love” says Jess, “yes mum, do u really have to repeat yourself everyday?” Moni answers impatiently while putting her shoes on. Listening to how Moni answers her Jess recalled the time where she too answered her mother the same way.

It happened 20 years ago..
“Jess ! remember to come home before sundown !”
“Yes Mum ! you dont have to remind me everyday ! I know !”

Jess rushed off to school, “Dark Hours” was playing on her ipod. She keeps her iPod playlist on shuffle because she quickly gets bored with songs that are always on repeat.
She looks up to the sky and wonders, what could possibly be lurking after the sun goes down? Why is everyone so obsessed with being home before dark? Not looking at where she was going she rammed her bike against the tree, throwing her off her bike and rolled down the hill.

“Urghh..” she groaned, as she woke up with an intense pain on her left ankle. She looked down and saw her ankle twisted in a crooked manner, her bike was in the lake.
The pain was too intense for her to stand up, she looked up to the sky once again and noticed that the sun was going down. She panicked and tried to stand up but only to fall again. She called out for someone but quickly realised that this remote area seems to not have any visitors for a long time, a lake that is filled with algae and trashes that's probably thrown off from above are scattered all over the floor.

Silence fills the air as terror creeps. “In a world of pitch black darkness, what will be lurking?” thoughts are running through her like a stream. She remembered the days when she was younger whenever the clock strucks 6pm every household in the neighbourhood would shut all the windows and doors tightly, pull down the blinds and start to turn on their sound system blasting with music. It almost seems like they are trying to muffle the mayhem that is happening outside the neighbourhood.

Jess snapped out of her thoughts as she heard a blaring weep surrounded the woods, the clouds start to creep in and she can feel the rain droplets dropping on her face. As the weep got louder and louder the rain started to pour, the wimping pierced through her ears but she was too afraid to scream or move. She started to look around, from a-far she saw a large white in colour gleaming orb with a shadow moving across the woods.

As the weep continues piercing through her ears, she notices the soft whispers that are creeping behind the bawl. The whispers started passively and soon started to fill the air..
The weeping and vague whispers got louder and louder and the rain has now turned into a thunderstorm. It is as if a demon is creating a ruckus on earth and no one is coming for her.

The white orb stopped and moved towards her direction, to her horror she saw a man's silhouette walking towards her .The man has a scrawny figure and walks in an uncanny way . As the man approaches she sees the man's facial features, the man has a crooked smile and tilted head, the voices have gotten even louder.. Jess could not hold it in any longer and let go a loud scream . “GO AWAY!”

“Jess ? Jess?” Jess opened her eyes to her mum and a few officers around her. It was already sunrise. “Mum?” She hugs her mum as tight as ever. “ My poor girl, You didnt manage to come back home last night ! Did u see or hear anything?” Jess's mum asked. “ I had a really bad dream mum..a really bad…” Just when Jess thought that it's a nightmare she sees the man standing from a-far behind the tree looking at her with the same crooked smile and tilted head, he put up his hand and pointed it towards his heart.

And the whispers begin..again
