writer's note:

This story is about two of my classmates, i think they would be really cute together. However, the storyline does not coincide with reality and I don't intend on hurting anyone. So, in accordance with my statement, I will be using nicknames.
- Enjoy.

Mil and Ri have known each other since elementary, but have gotten closer in the last three years of middle school. They always sit with each other in class and spent their between-class breaks together. After school, they usually have tennis practice, so even when they are not at school they hang out. They trully are best friends.

Mil's POV:

Some people really think that I'm very introverted but thats not really the case, once I'm around people who are close to me I really open up and speak my mind. Although, I do understand this opinion. I'm often quiet in class expect when I'll laugh at one of Ri's jokes, which are usually really funny. Up until middle school, i didn't even play any sports because I would never feel as a part of the team, i would always find myself further behind trying to keep up. To be honest the only reason i started playing tennis was because Ri did, and when we first started hanging out, i wanted to spend more time with him, however Im actually quite good at it, so I've managed to quickly get on the same level as him.

Anyway, tomorrow It's monday again and I'm really not looking forward to going to class. It's going to be a long day but I'll at least get to play tennis in the afternoon.

Mil brushed his teeth, said goodnight to his family and went to bed leaving his glasses on his nightstand.

RI'S POV:
I woke up to the sound of my alarm ringing. Surprisingly I wasn't tired and got up right away. I went to the bathroom to wash my face and got ready for the day. I left home and I now am on my way to school. Lately I've been really motivated to go to and I don't understand why. I've always been a run-of-the-mil student, maybe even a bad one in some classes, so I've never been excited about it. The only things I used to actually enjoy were tennis and listening to music while chilling in my room.
As I went through the door I saw Mil waiting for me at the same place as always. We had a casual small talk until the bell rung and we started walking to class. Our first period was Maths, not my favourite, I'm good at it only when he helps me understand it.
Time at school passed quickly and soon the last bell rung, I said goodbye to my best friend, catching a last glimpse on his tall figure and headed home.

Mil's POV:
After coming back from school today, I had this weird feeling in my stomach. That feeling is familliar, it feels like I've realized something but I haven't, I'm more confused than ever before. That one look he gave me, it was like he was undressing me with his eyes, I felt exposed, as if he could see every little secret I hid from him. What am I hiding from him? What am I hiding from myself?

After a couple of hours, when the sun was finally starting to set, it was time for their tennis training. Both the shorter and the taller boy started jogging from their homes to the tennis court, warming up for practice. When their ways eventually met, they took a moment to catch their breath. Ri greeted him with a warming smile and Mil said ''H- hi'' looking away, trying to hide his feint blush. ''What? Why did he blush? Ri is his best friend, it's not possible to like him that way. No that's weird.'' Mil thought to himself.

Practice was kind of tough, as always, but today it went by faster'' Ri thought, while changing in the locker room. It was finally time to go home, but it felt like it was seconds ago when Mil caught him starring at him, as he was taking a small break. He felt so embarashed, but his deepest concern was why he had zoned to the taller boy lifting his shirt to wipe the sweat off his forhead. He didn't think he was gay, he wasn't, the taller boy just happened to be there when he zoned out. Yeah, it propably meant nothing.

**
After the whole team was done changing they said their goodbyes and everyone was headed to their home. The two boys walked together talking about tennis and laughing, with none of them mentioning the previous event, which was life saving to Ri. Their conversation ended with a '' see you tomorrow'' from Ri and them parting their ways
