"How much of what?" the florist questioned politely with a bright smile on her face. My eyes scanned every inch of the small flower shop before finally settling on the bunch of lillies in full blown bloom in the far right corner of the dull room. Her favourite, perfect. The small reminder suddenly filled my heart with ache, how I missed her so. I pointed to the flowers numbly and forced a smile weakly. The young girl seemed to notice my reaction, but didn't ponder over it too much and simply stood there smiling while bundling the flowers into an arrangement.

"I hope your wife gets better." She said quietly while handing me the bouquet. I could see sincere sympathy in her soft ,grey, eyes and my heart dropped at the mention of my wife. I quickly nodded and stepped at the mention of my wife. I quickly nodded and stepped out of the shop and into the cold street, making my way towards the hospital.
