Lucia's POV
It was a hot summer day in June and I was sitting on my front porch. School was gonna start in a month and I hadn't seen a single kid my age the whole summer. No one lived in my neighborhood except a bunch of old people so pretty much I was a loner until school started.
I made some lemonade mix and went back outside in my pajamas. I think I sat outside for like two hours reading my book "Zodiac". My dad was at work and my mom was probably on the phone so I didnt need to worry about them until around six.
My dad pulls up into my driveway at 5:43.
"hey" I say
"what're you doing out here Lucy?" my dad asks
"just bored"
"okay well I'm sure your moms made something for dinner, lets go inside"
"alright"
Alexa's POV
My mom picks me up from Karate. She has no time to make dinner so we pick something up from Taco Bell. We then go to pick up my older brother Judah from his basketball practice. I never seem to have any free time, which kind of sucks because I never get to spend time with friends. My brother and I live alone with my mom and our dog Chloe in a medium sized house in California. Most people think California ooh beaches and palm trees, but where I live, stuff is pretty average.
"how was basketball" my mom asks my brother
"we got a new guy in since Neal left, he's pretty cool and stuff"
"that's nice, what's his name?"
"David"
