I awoke my head feeling heavy, like i could sleep for an entire week. The first things i saw was Noah looking very concerned. As i look around the room, i see a very familiar face. But that's impossible he's dead. 'Hello Summer' a familiar voice said, my boyfriend, Aaron.
'but your dead Aaron, you got stabbed outside of school.'
'I came to a arrangement with the gang that I owed money to, they would spread round that they had stabbed and killed me'
'but why would they want to kill you, apart from the fact that you owe them money'
'They have had other rival gangs take over their areas where they deal drugs, and also taking the younger gang members who deal the drugs and collect the money off the people and give it to us away, numbers of the gang were low, so by pretending to kill me would make them look better, making more people want to join the gang' Aaron said pacing back and forth in front of the fire.Another man came in from the kitchen, he looked very skinny, weak and malnourished.
'ask her about the money Summer' he said looking at me. I knew what was coming.
'oh yes thanks for reminding me Lucas. A few months after i faked my death we noticed a large amount of money had gone missing, from a place that i only told you and my best friend. The thing is summer my best friend emigrated to Australia one year ago, when the money was still there. So it could only of been you that could of stole it.'I sat upright trying to explain myself in the end all i said was 'I was trying to get payback,I thought that they killed you so i took the money to get revenge' i stuttered, i had never been more intimidated or afraid of anyone before but now i felt extremely guilty for even taking the money in the first place. 'I have most of it left, how much was there to begin with ?'
'5 grand' Aaron returned 'you better get counting and see how much money you spent, because you will be repaying it all tonight.'Concerned, i headed upstairs to find the bag of money i had stashed away in my suitcase. I couldn't remember what i had spent, i should of kept track of all that i had spent. Better still i shouldn't of stole it in the first place, i knew they would catch up to me eventually.
After counting £20 notes for what felt like forever, my heart started to race. There was only 1 grand left. How am i gonna find 4 grand by the end of tonight, what did i even spend £4000 on then i remembered. When i first got the money i was extremely reckless, i went on a weekend trip to London on my own and bought anything i fancied then i booked this cottage and all of the groceries.
Knowing i was gonna be dead meat, i walked dowstairs to find a few gang members, Noah and Aaron siting on the couches in silence. When i reached the bottom of the stairs they all stood up.
'Well,' Aaron broke the silence 'how much money did you spend? and better still can you repay it'
'i've spent a lot more that i realised, i can't repay it all tonight but i can pay instalments every month.'
'right not only did you steal from me but now you can't repay it, we owe that money to another gang and now we can't give it to them you know what guys grab her we're gonna teach her a lesson'
Two of the gang members came towards me and grabbed me, i struggled immensely. They lead me to the basement which i didn't even know was there and then they shoved me in a chair and tied my arms and legs together. A thud echoed throughout the old creepy basement. I wonder what that is i thought.
