•Kaylin POV•

Thoughts kept running through my head. it was the first day of school and I'm scared things wont be the same with me and my best friends.

I picked out my outfit. It was black skinny jeans, a white sort of crop top shirt with black letters that say flawless, and black vans.

I curled my hair and did wing eye makeup.

I looked at my phone and it was ringing. It was landen.

Landen: "you eating breakfast or not?"
Me: "i'll get some Starbucks on my way to school but i got to go now I'm meeting up with malik"
Landen: "can i go?"
Me: no "yeah sure" dammit.

I hung up and Landen was in the drivers seat of MY car. "Landen Drew Petteet I'm driving!" I chuckled.

He frowned and moved to the passengers seat crossing his arms. I laughed.

We drove to school and Malik, Molly, and some other guy was the in the cafeteria where we always go in the mornings.

"Hey" i waved. Malik and molly greeted me with hugs. "Who's he?" I mouthed to molly motioning my eyes towards the guy at the table.

He had bright blue eyes and dark hair. He was sorta tan but not really.

"Oh thats Anthony. Malik met him in Chicago and then Anthony moved in with him" molly said.

I nodded and maved. He half smiled and sorta waved back. Rude. I whispered to malik. "Is he gay?". Malik laughed and shook his head no.

Suprise. "What you laughing about?" Anthony asked. Nothing. "She thought you were gay" malik said. I punched his arm. "Malik!" I yelled kinda laughing.

We all laughed and Anthony playfully pushed my shoulder. I hit him upside the head. He jokingly frowned.

I smiled.

*bell* i got to get to class. "We got to go to our first class" i said and everyone parted ways. I walked to my first class. English.

I sat in my seat and Kylie Keller sat next to me.

"Omg i missed you!" I yelled hugging her. She hugged me back but we got interrupted by Landen. Ugh he's in my first class.

This was gonna be a long day.

-hours later-

The last bell rang and i went outside to find my car. Landen was already getting in the passengers seat.

I got in my car and adjusted the mirror to see 2 other people in the back.

They weren't people i knew. "Landen" i whispered pointing to the back.

It was 2 girls who looked to be in their 20's.

They saw us and one of them quickly pulled out a gun an pointed it towards me.

"Drive us to the place we ask and i swear if word gets out about this don't think I'm not smart enough to find you" one of them said. My eyes widened.

"Where would you like me to drive you?" I trembled in fear. "*insert person address here*" she said. "Ok" i said.

I turned on the car. But then the girl fell backwards. I looked back to see the trunk open and Malik and Anthony with baseball bats from the school.

Anthony whacked the other girl. They weren't dead but definitely knocked out cold.

I looked at landen. His eyes kept wide. "What.the.fuck. Just happened" Landen said. Anthony dialed 911.

"We just saved your asses" malik shrugged. Malik searched the girls for weapons and threw all of them on the ground.

The police arrived and we explained everything. The police took the girls and we all drove to my house.

We walked inside and Malik pulled me to my room.

"That scared the shit out of me" i said tearing up on his shoulder. He patted my back and Landen, Anthony, and molly walked in my room.

I was crying at this point. "Its ok Kaylin its over" Molly said. Landen gave me a half smile. Anthony shrugged.

Malik pulled away and wiped my tears. I forced a smile and i crashed on my bed. everyone went downstairs.

I plugged in earbuds to my phone and played ed sheeran. I fell asleep to his beautiful voice in my head.

I'm thinking about doing online school...
