Chris woke up to Ricky shaking his shoulder. "Get up!" Ricky laughed. Chris groaned and sat up. Ricky jumped off the bed and walked into the bathroom. Chris got up and followed him. "Why are you so excited?" Chris asked. "Because we might get Hannibal today." Ricky started to get undressed so he could take a shower. "Oh yeah!" Chris smiled and took his clothes off as well.
When they got out of the shower they put on new clothes and went downstairs to eat breakfast. Chris gave Dexter fresh food and water. Then they both got a bowl of cereal and sat down in the living room. "Ok, so what do we need to do before the people from the animal shelter come over?" Chris asked. "Clean the house a little and clean out the litter box." Ricky said. "Is that it?" Chris started to eat. Ricky nodded as he swallowed his mouth full of food.
They finished eating and put their bowls in the sink. "Ok, the house is a mess so let's divide and conqueror." Chris sighed. "Ok, we haven't done the dishes in like three days so I'll do that and you can start cleaning the litter box." Ricky nodded. "Eww. Why do I have to get the gross job." Chris pouted. "Because I don't want to do it." Ricky smiled and hugged Chris. Chris groaned and kissed Ricky's head.
When Ricky was done washing and putting away the dishes he walked over to Dexter's litter box in the den. "Want some help sweetie?" Ricky asked. "Nope, I just finished." Chris stood up and carried a bag of old cat litter into the trash can. "Ok, good. So now we just have to clean the rest of the house. I'll do the upstairs and you can do down here." Ricky said. "Ok, babe." Chris nodded.
Ricky walked upstairs and into the bedroom. He started picking up clothes off the floor and putting them into the hamper. Then he made the bed and straightened up the bathroom. Chris was downstairs vacuuming the living room.
About an hour later Chris and Ricky were done cleaning the house and they were sitting on the couch with Dexter. There was a knock on the door. "I'll get it Sweetie." Chris got up and walked to the front door.
Chris came back into the living room a few seconds later. The blonde woman from the animal shelter was with her. She had a cat carrier in her hand. Ricky stood up and walked over to the woman. "Hello, I'm Sara." The woman smiled. "Hi, I'm Ricky." Ricky shook Sara's hand. "Do you mind if I walk around? Just to see how Hannibal will be living?" Sara asked. "Go ahead." Chris smiled and nodded.
After about an hour Sara had looked around the bathrooms, the bedrooms, the den, the kitchen, and the living room. When she walked back into the living room Dexter was sitting next to the cat carrier, looking in at Hannibal. "Everything looks very cat friendly. I can tell your cat is very well taken care of." Sara smiled. "Yeah, we take care of our little Dexter. I think he is excited to meet his new friend." Ricky laughed. Dexter had stuck his paw in the door of the carrier. "It looks like it. Let's see how they get along." Sara walked over to the carrier and slowly opened the door. Hannibal creeped out and sat down next to Dexter. Dexter smelled him.
A few minutes after Hannibal was let out of the carrier he started playing with Dexter. Chris, Ricky, and Sara were sitting on the couch watching them. "Well, they're obviously getting along. Do you want to fill out the paper work?" Sara asked. "Yeah." Chris nodded. Sara got a folder that she had on top of the carrier. She pulled out a packet of forms and a pen.
Chris and Ricky read all of the forms and filled them out. Sara left about thirty minutes later. Dexter and Hannibal were laying on the couch with Ricky. Chris was in the kitchen getting two small bowls to put food and water in. When he came back into the living room he put the bowls down next to Dexter's. He sat down on the couch next to Ricky. "I'm glad we did this." Chris smiled and kissed Ricky's cheek. "Me too and I think Dexter is happy too." Ricky smiled down at Dexter who was asleep and cuddling with Hannibal. "Yup." Chris gently ran his ran down Hannibal's back.
Dexter and Hannibal woke up about and hour later. "Come here, Hannibal." Chris patted his lap. The cat slowly got up and walked over to him, he sat down in Chris' lap. Ricky shuffled over to Chris and cuddled up next to him. "I get all the boys, don't I?" Chris laughed. "Yup!" Ricky smiled and kissed Chris' cheek. "What do you want to do for dinner, babe?" Chris asked. "I don't care. Wanna order Chinese again?" Ricky shrugged. "Yeah, sure." Chris nodded. "Do you want what you always get?" Ricky got up. "Yup." Chris nodded.
There was a knock on the door about thirty minutes later. Ricky walked out of the kitchen and opened the front door. He took the bag of food and paid the delivery boy. He walked back into the living room and put the bag down. "Ok, let's eat!" Ricky sat down and opened the bag.
When they were done with their dinner they cleaned up the table and went upstairs. "You look tired, Chris. You wanna go to bed?" Ricky asked as he walked into the bedroom. "Yeah." Chris yawned and started to take his clothes off, since he only slept in his boxers. "Ok." Ricky smiled and took his clothes off as well.
They both got in bed. Ricky put his head on Chris' chest. Dexter jumped on the bed followed by Hannibal. They both walked to the foot of the bed and laid down next to Chris' feet. "Good night, Ricky. I love you." Chris smiled and closed his eyes. "Good night. I love you too." Ricky said and closed his eyes as well.
