Survival 03

Krayle's POV:

"Gising na."

Iminulat ko ang aking mata at...

Tingnan mo nga naman, tong mukha pa ni kio ang nakita ko, ke-aga aga at ito yung makikita ko.

Tumayo ako at nakita ko Silang nag aayos na ng mga gamit nila.

"We have to get out of here, your place isn't safe." Dagdag Niya pa.

"Anong oras na?" Tanong ko.

"It's 6:30." Sabi naman ni Dave.

Nagulat naman ako sa sinabi ni Dave, kaya agad agad ako nagbihis.

"Sakto may pupuntahan tayo." Sabi ko sa kanila.

"Where?" Tanong ni Shie.

Binigay ko naman Kay kio yung papel na nakita ko kagabi. Tinignan Niya ito, at halata sa mukha Niya ang Pag-tataka.

"Sino si suspicious?" Tanong Niya.

"Yun ang hindi ko alam, Pero kailangan natin siyang puntahan, at malay mo alam niya kung nasan si mama at avah." Sabi ko naman.

Tumango nalang siya at nag ayos.

Papunta kami sa park ngayon, at ang nakapagtataka ay walang humahabol sa amin.

"Kio." Pag tawag ko Kay kio.

"Bakit?" Sagot niya naman.

"Why aren't there zombies approaching us?" Tanong ko.

"Pasalamat ka nalang at wala." Malamig na Sabi niya.

Ano kayang problema nito at ganyan kasama ang pakikitungo niya.

We reached the park, at may nakita kaming lalaki na nakatayo doon. Pumunta naman ako, susunod na Sana sila Pero

"Dyan nalang muna kayo, ako na ang makikipag-usap." Sabi ko.

"Okay, but bring this in case something happens." Sabi ni kio sabay bigay ng kutsilyo.

Kinuha ko ang kutsilyo at pumunta na sa lalaki.

"Andito na ako." Sabi ko sa lalaki.

Humarap naman sa akin yung lalaki, nagulat nalang ako ng malaman ko kung sino yun.

"You really have the habit of getting late krayle, it's 7:30. I told you to go 7--" hindi na natapos ang sinabi niya ng niyakap ko siya.

"Thank god you're alive." Sabi ko naman.

"Did you miss me?" Tanong niya,

"Oo naman!" Sigaw ko.

"Oh please, hinaan mo yung boses mo." Sabi niya natawa naman ako.

"May time pa kayo mag yakapan sa ganitong sitwasyon." Nagulat nalang ako ng biglang magsalita si kio.

"Kio this is Lucas and Lucas this is--"

"Kio, long time no see." Biglang Sabi ni Lucas.

Nagulat nalang ako dahil magkakilala pala sila.

"Eh? Magkakilala kayo?" Tanong ko.

"Theres no time for telling you a long story Krayle, I'm here to tell you something." Sabi naman ni Lucas .

"Your mom and avah... I-i tried to make it fast to go in your house pero, wala na sila doon Krayle. Wala na sila sa bahay niyo, this apocalypse started three days ago."

I was speechless.

It started before I go here.

Mom...and avah.

They are alone, di ko sila natulungan.

I run out of strength, luckily kio was there to help me up.

"Calm down kray--"

"How can I calm down Lucas?! Mom and avah! They--they are alone!! And I can't even find them! Lucas... Mom is sick... Avah have a weak heart... Now tell me how can I calm down?!"

I started feeling pain in my heart.

Dapat hindi ko nalang pala sila iniwan.

"Lower your voice Krayle, I know this is hard for you but you have to save yourself first before saving them. Because you can't save them if you can't even save yourself." Sabi niya.

"I'm here to give you some advice on how to save yourself--all of you, Krayle this zombies are blind. They can't see even in daytime, but they can hear you." Dagdag Niya pa.

"They can hear anything, even the lowest sounds. Don't use any cars, just run. If you use one, expect many zombies to attack." Sabi niya.

"Hindi ka ba sasama samin?" Tanong ko.

"No. Krayle, I can save myself. Just worry about your group. And please Krayle, please be alive. Survive. I want you to give this to Samantha." Sabi niya, sabay bigay sa akin ng Isang maliit na bagay.

May diamond ito at mukhang mamahalin. Naiyak naman ako.

"Please give that, I put my whole life to that. Samantha is in states. If you have been rescued and alive, give that to her please. Tell her I love her, tell her she is the most beautiful thing that happen in my life." Sabi niya,

"Why me? Wh--why are you giving this to me?" Naiiyak kong Sambit.

"Cause I know you are a strong woman, you can survive I assure you that. Now go, find a house or anything that all of you can stay for good." Sabi niya.

"Goodbye Lucas, I promise to give this to Samantha. I promise." Sabi ko sabay alis na.

Lucas is my childhood BFF, as in bff talaga. Siya ang kasama ko sa lahat ng ginagawa ko, he supports me in everything that I do. He met Samantha in his work. I can tell that Samantha is beautiful and good woman.

She make Lucas happy.

But now, i cant say that I'm gonna be happy if I survive.

If he is not gonna survive, I think I'm gonna die inside.

We made a promise to each other, I will come to his wedding and he is gonna come too, but.

Will he? I want him to be the uncle of my child.

Please be alive Lucas...

Gabi na at nakahanap na kami ng tutulugan ngayong Gabi. Dave is preparing for the food and Shie is sleeping, kio is sitting beside me.

"Are you okay?" Tanong ni kio.

I nodded.

"Pano pala kayo nag kakilala ni Lucas?" Tanong ko.

"Ah that? Magkakilala kami kasi I'm...how do I say this, kapatid ako ni Samantha."

Nagulat naman ako sa sinabi niya.

"Nakilala ko na siya Pero.. I didn't like him as the boyfriend of my sister, but now? I think he's okay for my sister."

Tumango nalang ako.

"Uhm Krayle I was going to tell you something about Lucas.." Sabi niya.

"ANO yon?" Tanong niya.

"Don't cry, Pero kaya tayo Pinaalis ni Lucas dahil..."

"Dahil?" Tanong ko.

"Didn't you notice it?" Tanong niya.

"ANO nga?" Tanong ko naman.

"He...he have been bitten by a zombie."

Nahulog ko nalang bigla ang baso ko.

Hindi ako makapaniwala....

"But he fighted the infection so he could talk to you and give you that ring."
