LOSSES AND CONFESSIONS.
The sound of the referee's whistle echoed in the large stadium. It was all over. Shiratorizawa , for the first time in 3 years , had lost , to a team that had risen from it's own ashes . This was the last time for the third years, most of whom were devastated. It wasn't just the third years, the second and first years felt that they had let their seniors down.
Semi glanced around at his team. Ushijima looked like he normally would. Tendou had a kind of pained smile on his face. Goshiki looked as if he was about to burst into tears. Yamagata looked more worried about Goshiki,Kawanishi looked shocked and Shirabu had a look of indifference on his face. Shirabu apologized repeatedly, completely stuck on his belief that it was his fault no matter how many times his teammates assured him that it wasn't.
On the way back to school on the bus, Semi sat beside Shirabu. At this point he didn't care about who he sat with. Most of the team was asleep , which wasn't surprising considering the fact that they had played 5 full sets. Shirabu and Semi were both awake. Semi had headphones on listening to who knows what and Shirabu simply looked out the window, the look of indifference still on his face. It pissed Semi off since it made Shirabu seem inhuman and robotic. Ushijima was simply pokerfaced,it wasn't really his fault,but Shirabu hid his expressions on purpose, which pissed Semi off even more.

" you should try smiling sometimes"
The words left Semi's mouth before he could process what he was doing.
The younger turned to face the pinch server,looking perplexed. By now Semi had realized what he had said and was desperately hoping he wasn't blushing.
"I'll smile if there's something to smile about" Shirabu rolled his eyes and went back to looking out the window.Semi breathed a sigh of relief. He didn't want to admit it but he had a not so tiny crush on the younger, besides even if he did Shirabu was straight .
Right?

The volleyball team bid their farewells to each other before heading to their dorms. Semi disappointedly flopped down onto his bed, Tendou had told him that he was going to sleep so Semi tried to be as quiet as possible.
"Semisemi"
He turned his head towards the red-head , who was blankly staring up at the ceiling, but he had a small smile on his face. "He must be over it aleady" semi thought and tilted his head as if asking why he was called.
"What do you feel towards Shirabu?"
Tendou asked , still not looking away from the ceiling. Semi was lost for words. Was he that obvious? "If you like him romantically you should confess now, we're gonna be leaving for college soon.you won't be able to do it later and you'll most likely regret it if you don't" the middle blocker continued. He seemed dead serious. "How do you know?" Semi silently panicked. Shirabu wasn't dumb,if Tendou knew then Shirabu probably knew too." I saw you two on the bus" Tendou smirked " you're so obvious Semisemi ,you were blushing so hard, too.......too bad Shirabu is too dense to notice " . "So you think I should confess?" Semi puzzled, unsure if it was the right thing to do.
"Go for it, he probably likes you too "
"But Shirabu is straight"
"You should know by now that nobody on our team has a straight bone in their body. Not even Goshiki" Tendou suppressed a laugh.
"So Shirabu isn't straight?" Semi thought. He still couldn't bring himself to confess. "Even if he is gay the possibility of him liking me back is probably under 20%" but trying wouldn't hurt .it would hurt a lot if things went south though." Semi thought.

The third years all decided to see how the team was without them. They all grouped outside the gym and entered together. The first and second years were all practicing . As always , Semi was mesmerized by Shirabu's setting. "Gonna nit pick again?" Shirabu grunted , furrowing his eyebrows. "No accually, I want to talk to you" semi murmured just loud enough for everyone to hear. Tendou and Ushijima (semi:wait he knew too?!)gave him a thumbs up. He gestured Shirabu to follow him. He followed Semi out of the gym. Once Semi was sure no one was there, he brought his face dangerously close to Shirabu's . Shirabu closed the distance between their lips. Semi melted into the kiss seconds before the younger pulled away, blushing a deep shade of red. ( I wrote kiss but auto correct turned it into kids and I didn't realize untill I read the whole paragraph again).
"I-I'M SO SORRY!! I DONT KNOW WHAT CAME OVER ME I-"
Shirabu's explanation was interrupted by another kiss , this time initiated by the Ash blonde . Semi pulled away , his dark brown eyes stared into Shirabu's copper ones. "I like you Shirabu"Semi added. Shirabu blushed a deeper shade of red. Shirabu mumbled something under his breath. "What?" "I SAID I LIKE YOU TOO!"and gor even redder which Semj didnt think was possible. However,with this Semi came back to his senses. Shirabu liked him back and they kissed. Now it was Semi's turn to turn red.both just stared at each other untill Shirabu broke the silence
"S-so what does this make us?"
"Anything you want."
"Then, boyfriends?"
"Boyfriends"

Both of them walked back into the gym blushing uncontrollably. Tendou whispered to Semi "he liked you too didn't he?". Semi knew he shouldn't be surprised . This was Tendou after all.
