"Yes, I will!" This are the three words I said to my husband a few seconds ago. It's true. My husband. I have found my Night In Shining Whatever. But let's start at the beginning...

I was flying back from Boston to Seattle where my boyfriend Finn Dandridge was waiting for me. We were together since 5 years and he was the love of my life. In Boston I visited an old friend for 4 weeks. Elaine. We helped each other to survive the High School. A very weird time.

In Seattle I will start my first day at Seattle Grace Hospital. My mother already worked there. She was a brilliant surgeon and nearly everybody in hospital knows her. I will start as a surgical resident. I hope the chief resident, Richard Webber, who know me since I was a child, has no high expectations. He was a good friend from my mother. A very good friend. So, I was sitting in the plane, the flight was 6 hours long and it was very boring, so I decided to go to the bar to order a Tequila. It was very curious that there was a bar in the plane. But I was glas about it. I really needed some because every time when I thought about my new job as a surgical resident, I got sick. After some minutes a handsome man sat next to me. I think he was sitting next to me at my place the whole time but I didn't notice him. He saw my empty glass: "Can I order a second one for you?" I only looked at him and smiled. He gave me one and I drank a draft. Then the man asked with an inquisitive voice: "Who are you?" "I'm just a girl in a plane." "Ahm, I'm just a guy in a plane." We looked at eacht other for some minutes. But then I thought about Finn. I missed him a lot, although I didn't see him only for one month. I drank my Tequila fast and I think I was a bit primed. "So, what's your name?" I asked. "My name is Derek, and yours?" "Derek. A beautiful name. Mine is Meredith." "Also a beautiful name. Do you want a Tequila again?" I answered: "Better not. I am alraedy a bit primed." I looked in his beautiful eyes and the only thing I was thinking about was kissing him. But i couldn't do this. While looking at him Derek drew near. I tried to stop him. And then it happened. He kissed me. I could have stoped him but it felt so good. I needed closeness. And he was there for me. The time went quickly and then a stewardess told us to sit down because we were arriving.

After the arrival I thought I would see Derek again at the airport. I was wrong. But I forgot him immediately because I saw Finn. I fell around his arms and kissed him. I was happy to see Finn again and he was happy, too. "Are you primed?", he asked. "Only a bit. The flight was so long." After that we drove home and I didn' told him about the kiss with the handsome stranger.
