Unpredictable Meeting

As we arrived home, Finn had a surprise for me. You have to know that we were living above his own medical practice because he is a veterinary. So I opened the door and then I watched into brown, little eyes. It was a dog. I have told him time and time that I wanted one. And there it was. I named him Dog. I know it's not very fancy but I like this name. I thanked him a lot. Finn decided to go out with Dog and I went to bed because I was very tired and the next day was my first day at the hospital and then I shouldn't be tired and primed.

The next morning I woke up before my alarm clock rang. Dog barked loud. Finn already stood up, so I did it too. I went in the kitchen where Finn have laid the table. But I had a bad conscience 'cause I wasn't hungry. Finn wasn't angry about that. I only drank my coffee.

One hour later I was sitting in my car. But somehow I wasn't excited. I knew how it was to be a surgeon at Seattle Grace Hospital because of my mother. I knew what will happen to me. But I didn't know why I was doing that.

At first the chief resident Richard Webber shows us the hospital and told us the rules. The other interns looked so excited. After Dr. Webber's speech we changed our clothes. One of the interns asked me if I'm Meredith Grey. I think it was the one boy who tried to talk with me at the intern meeting but I forgot his name. I was allocated to Dr. Bailey, together with Cristina Yang, Alex Karev, Izzie Stevens and George O'Malley. George is the guy who talked to me a few minutes ago. Dr. Bailey is very strict. She has her own 5 rules that we have to know every time.

After some minutes our pager rang. Our first patient. It was a girl named Katie Price. I had luck because Dr. Bailey said that this will be my patient. I took her to the CT and made some tests. As I showed Dr. Bailey the results she told me to go to Dr. Burke, the Chief of Cardiology. So I walked through the hospital to find him.

But then I couldn't believe my eyes. I walked around the corner and there he was. Derek. The guy from the bar in the plane who kissed me. I looked at him and he noticed me, too. I saw him walking towards me but another assistant medical director with red hairs had a question so he stoped walking. Derek still looked at me while talking with the doctor. But as I wanted to turn around to walk away I saw them kissing. This couldn't be real. I had a boyfriend. He had a girlfriend. And we kissed. We cheated both although we had a partner. I felt so damn bad.

I tried to escape before he will talk to me. I found Dr. Burke and showed him the results.

"Dr. Burke, here are the results."

I was a bit confused becase of Derek.

"Thank you Dr. Grey. Welcome at our hospital. We have to do an operation later. You can come and watch if you want to."

Of course I wanted to be in surgery so I said yes.
