Chapter Two: Beacon

HOLY SHIT HAS IT BEEN A WHILE. Some dude said to update this story while I was fuckin around on Minecraft so I figured I'd go ahead and do so. I had to reread my story tho. Anyways, imma do... something with this chapter. I don't know yet and I'm stalling for time. So I'm gonna stop doing that. To the story!

Yn: "Now then. Why did you attack me, exactly?"

Ruby: "You were the one that attacked us first!"

Yn ponders for a moment.

Yn: "I guess that's fair. But why were you following Sap?"

Ruby then remembers about the little tree, which was still behind you.

Ruby: "Is that the name of the little tree behind you?"

Yn: "Yeah, that's him. So why were you following him?"

Ruby: "Well, we didn't know what it was, and Ozpin told us to go find something that had crashed down in the forest, so we thought either Sap was the thing we were supposed to catch or it would lead us to it."

Yn: "I see. So who's Ozpin?"

Ruby: "YOU DON'T KNOW WHO OZPIN IS?"

Yn: "Okay, one, you didn't have to screech at me, and two, I'm still not from around here."

Ruby: "Oh yeah. Well, Ozpin is the principal of Beacon, one of the four main academies of Remnant."

Yn: "Principal, huh? What do they teach at Beacon?"

Ruby: "Well, a lot of things, but mainly they teach us how to defeat the Grimm."

Yn: "Grimm?"

Ruby: "The black and white animals with red eyes. The wolf ones are Beowolves, the bear ones are Ursa, the weird giant ravens are Nevermores, the scorpion ones are Deathstalkers and the snake ones are King Taijitsu. There are more but they're pretty rare."

Yn: "I don't know what half of those are, but good to know. How strong are they all?"

Ruby: "Beowolves are the weakest of the bunch but the most common; they're still pretty strong, though, and deadly in large groups. They mostly bite and scratch, and favor either ambushes or teaming up on their prey. Ursa are stronger than that, but are mostly solitary; they're pretty much just bears. Nevermores are very strong and can be either alone or in a group; they have razor sharp feathers they can launch, so be careful. Deathstalkers are almost always alone and super strong; they have strong armor and deadly poison from their stingers. King Taijitsu are the strongest of the Grimm I've mentioned, and are also almost always alone; they're actually two separate but conjoined beings, both heads having its own brain of sorts. And that's pretty much it."

Yn: "Ooookay, I just asked how strong they all are but that's nice to know, I suppose. I suspect one of your teachers taught you all that?"

Ruby: "Not really, I just learned it all from stories my uncle would tell me and a bit of reading. All Professor Port does is tell stories of his childhood all class."

Yn: "So Professor Port is the Grimm teacher? Grimm studies teacher? Whatever, you get what I mean, right?"

Ruby: "Technically...? He doesn't do much teaching, though."

Yn: "Right, right... So who are your buddies?"

Ruby: "The one in white is Weiss, yellow is Yang, my sister, and black is Blake. We make up team RWBY!"

Yn: "Hmm. So, uhh... I don't reckon I have to keep y'all tied up, so I'll untie you. Don't do anything to make me tie you back up, got it?"

Ruby: "Okay!"

Yn then proceeds to cut everyone loose with Meowmere, being careful not to cut anyone or send a cat flying. Right as he was untying the last one, though, he accidentally launched one; thankfully, it doesn't hit anyone. Ruby did have some questions, though.

Ruby: "What weapon is that?"

Yn: "It's called Meowmere. I killed Moon Lord for it."

Because Yn was answering Ruby's question, he lost a bit of focus and sent a cat flying.

Ruby: "Omigoshwhatwasthat?"

Yn: "... What?"

Ruby: "Oh, sorry."

Ruby awkwardly clears her throat.

Ruby: "What I said was, "What was that?"."

Yn: "That was Meowmere's ability. Whenever I swing it, it launches a cat. It's weird, I know, but Meowmere is the strongest sword I have, so I use it. Besides, we're lucky it didn't hit anyone; it would've killed whoever it hit."

Ruby: "It's really that strong?"

Yn: "Yeah; I'm pretty sure it'd one shot those grimm you mentioned."

Ruby: "Wow..."

Ruby admires the weird coloring of Meowmere with sparkling eyes for a moment; then, she turns to you.

Ruby: "Can I hold it?"

Yn: "Absolutely not. You'd hurt either yourself or one of your buddies."

It was at this moment that the other three started to wake up.

Yn: "Seems your buddies are waking up. I'll leave it to you to convince them that I have no intention of killing them."

So, you and RWBY set off to Beacon with tensions still high. It was then that Ruby realized...

Ruby: "We're lost."

Yn: "Oh, yay. What's the school look like?"

Ruby: "It's super tall; you can't really miss it."

Yn: "Alright, gimme a second."

It was then that you flew up in search for it. It'll take you a few seconds, so let's see what the other four are up to.

Yang: "Ruby, are you sure we can trust this dude? He did just beat all of us; how can we be sure he doesn't want to kill us or something?"

Weiss: "Well, if he wanted to kill us, he would've done that while we were unconscious, right?"

Blake: "I guess so, but we can't fully rule out any ill intentions just yet. He could want something from us."

Weiss: "I guess we'll just have to trust him for now. It's not like we can best him even if we wanted to; he already proved that earlier."

Ruby: "I don't think he's a bad person or anything; I mean, he hasn't really done anything bad to us, right?"

Yang: "Except beat us all to a pulp. Sorry, Ruby, but I don't think anyone but you trusts him yet. Besides that, I heard you talking to him when I was waking up; did you learn anything about him?"

Ruby: "Well, he's not from Remnant and he's super strong. Like super-duper strong! He could probably beat Ms. Goodwitch!"

Yang: "Is he really that strong?"

Ruby: "Yeah! He said he could one shot a Deathstalker with his sword!"

Weiss: "He was probably lying. You really should be more skeptical of people, Ruby."

Ruby: "Maybe. But one thing is for sure, he's SUPER strong!"

Blake: "Yeah, obviously. But not from Remnant? Are you sure?"

Ruby: "Positive. He didn't even know what Grimm were! Or Professor Ozpin! He's definitely an alien!"

It was then that you had found the school and landed.

Yn: "I found the school. Also, I'm STILL not an alien!"
