I met her in kindergarten. we were in the sand box and some kid, his name was Tommy I think, filled a bucket with sand and poured it on her head, we were not friends yet, but it was mean. I grabbed him by his ear and yanked him over to the teacher who sent him to principal Morris .
I walked back and helped her get the sand out of her hair. and that it. bff's for life. And by the time third grade rolled around every one called us Addie and Maddie. her name was Adeline and mine Madison. we were inseparable. where ever I was Addie was. where ever she was I was.
At that time of elementary we were both pretty average looking. I wasn't that pretty neither was she. but over the summer before seventh grade, I changed. I had to get a few new bras because my bust got bigger, my hair flowed, and my eyes got gold flecks spread through them. I had a great figure. Addie looked...well..like Addie she still had flat red hair and the same John Deere green eyes . I was pretty and I knew it. at some point I got a little cocky and self centered with my beautiful self. Addie put a stop to it with a sleepover fight that made me cry till I fell asleep. I started putting my hair in a pony tail and simple, basic makeup. suddenly I wasn't the IT GIRL anymore. I drifted back to Addie felling guilty I left her hanging in the first place. she took me in with open arms. I felt better. we had sleepovers again and talked about chad Barnes, THE hottest guy in school who had asked me out once before I stopped being popular. but then something happened. and it tore me apart. she dissapeared.
