19: pain and love

Y/Ns POV

I woke up with no pain and thought maybe I had died on the table, but then I knew I wasn't dead because I felt someone's hand in mine. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Derek asleep on the chair holding my hand, I looked over at the clock and it was 6 am. I squeezed Derek's hand to wake him up and when he did he looked into my eyes and I began to cry.

"You're safe now, we found you," he said.

"I knew you would" I cried harder.

"Why are you crying? What hurts? Do you want me to get a doctor?" He said softly wiping the tears off my face as to not hurt me.

"I'm crying because I knew even if you found me dead you'd still find me"

"If you were dead I would've killed Karmen myself." He said.

I looked at him confused.

"Yes she's dead, the police found her and she wouldn't surrender so they called us in and she shot at JJ so Reid shot Karmen. She's dead and you're here that's all that matters babe" he said.

"Derek the things I said on that video"

"No don't apologize the only reason you're here is that you made it seem like you didn't care for us and that's what kept us all out of harm's way and gave us a way to you."

"I didn't mean them I could never feel that way about yall"

"I know babe and the only thing that matters is that we found you just in time. She sent that video because she wanted us to see you talk like that but we know how you think we knew you wanted to piss her off and change her plans. If you hadn't said those things she wouldn't have sent us the video" he said.

"You're right."

"Y/N I love you," he said as he started crying.

"It took me almost dying for you to say it?"

"Shut up," he said kissing me.

"I love you too," I said.

Just then there was a knock on the door and we looked over to see Reid holding flowers. "Can I come in?" He asked.

"Of course you can," I said smiling.

Derek left to go home and shower and eat something before he came back.

"H-how are you?" Reid asked.

"Well I'm breathing so I can't complain," I said giving him a reassuring smile.

"I was worried about you," he said grabbing my hands.

"I can tell. Are you okay" I asked.

"I'm better than you that's for sure," he said laughing.

"Oh, you got jokes huh? But seriously are you okay"

"I thought I was about to lose a new friend, it seems that every time I start to care about someone they leave or die," he said looking down.

"Reid we are friends and I'm not going anywhere. Not anytime soon" I said. I held my hands out. "Come on".

"I don't wanna hurt you," he said.

"It'll be a good hurt! Now hug me" and he did he led over and hugged me. We sat there just hugging and he started to cry, we were gonna be really good friends.

Someone knocked on the door and I looked up and it was the whole team and then I began to cry and so did Garcia.

"I told everyone you'd be okay. You're our girl we don't give up on our people" Garcia said.
