As a catholic girl, in a catholic world
We should love one another, and treat others with the utmost respect.
But in a catholic school, these do not apply,
Nobody cares if you don't have the money.
She had finally made a friend.
Lindsey.
But L stands for liar, and that always shines through.
She seemed to understand where I came from.
Not wealthy, and with parents on the rocks.
But bitches will be bitches, and they won't end up with the stitches.
Second grade was when I realized it only got tougher.
When school and home life melted into one big disaster,
You wouldn't think that learning multiplication and division could tear you apart.
Homework stopped mattering,
My problems were multiplying,
And my life was dividing apart.
But oh my parents were ecstatic!
You see, in the second grade, you receive communion.
Maybe if Jesus filled my mind and body,
Things would fall together.
But things don't fall together,
They only fall apart.
And I was left alone.
To become my own demon.
Who the hell cares anymore?
Not this second grader.
