"Why would he need to sleep over?" Mrs. Matthews says shaky.

"Well as you know I am at practice from 2:50 through 8p.m. then I'm in the weight room for an extra hour.  By then it's almost 10p.m.  After I take a shower then a bath. Take care if necessities by then it's 10:45. I eat something.  I'm in my room doing homework til what ever.  Since Derek and I  need to study and  I'm sure you don't want him going through his window at 1 in the morning.  So the best option would be for him to spend a few nights. " I reply.

"Um okay sounds great. Can you start tonight. "

"Sure"

I look at her still in shock but agreeing blindly. Who let's two unrelated 14 year olds sleep inn the same place. I am so not ready fOr this.

Heyy it's really late. Maybe we should take a break?" Derek suggested. Its his first night and coffee seems to be his best friend.

"Look if we take a break down then we will fall asleep."

"Well can I get my pajamas on?"

"Sure the bathroom is through that door. " I point to the door next to my closet.

"Umm I don't need to change."

I look at him kinda Confused and realize he is blushing.

"What is it? " I asked getting annoyed.

"I'm sorry but I sleep in my briefs. " he says. 

"Oh um I'll give you some shorts but in that case I'll sleep on top of the sheets."

"Wait we are sleePing in the same bed? "

"Yea it's a queen.  Not that big of a deal. Just try not to have any wet dreams about me okay. " I hoped that would make him laugh.

He began rubbing his neck. I noticed it was his nervous give away.  I shoud really be a people reader. 

"Whatever. I know you probably don't want to talk about the kiss but I want you to know it was a trust kiss nothing more."

"Oh" I hope he didnt see the dissapontment on my face.

" just know that I'm here for you.  If I do kiss you please dont tell Bryan."

I here the door open an see e a mixed emotion Bryan.

"Dont worry I already know."

I knew that he liked her and it was Only a matter of time before he became a friend. Swish deserves him. She will hate me after she finds out about my secret. 

I never expected to see a naked Derek and blushing Swish in the same room. So whe I saw them I was happy sad and confused.

"Can I talk to you in Derek."

"Yea" he grunts taking some shorts and putting them on.

"I know you like swish. Dont deny it.  You know she is my girlfriend but I want to tell you that is not true. She and I are just the school's dream couple. Also I-"

"Wait  why are you helping me make a move on her?"

"Well the truth is....well.... look im gay."

"What how but you and swish the cafeteria but-"

"Im gay swish has known for like ever. You tell noone or I kill you. But I actually came to tell you that you made the team. Bye Derek. "

"I said bye." With that  I walked out the door and left on my way to as they say experience life.
