"Long day, hm?"

Lisa nods as she rests her head on Jennie's lap.

"Yeah," she sighs. "Long and tiring."

Jennie could only smile.

She runs her hand through the blonde's locks, Lisa smiles as she looks up to the other and returns it just as warm.

"You know," Lisa starts, letting out a breath as she closes her eyes for a moment. She takes in the atmosphere of the surrounding as the waves crash softly against the shore, the water running back to the ocean.

"I wish we could just stay here, forever."

Jennie looks up to see the night sky, millions of stars above them.

"We can, Lisa."

it was peaceful.

Lisa only hums in response, a small smile plastered on her face. There was silence within the soft breeze coming from the ocean, the crashing of the waves, the soft chirping of the birds, and the slow breathing of the two lovers.

It was comfortable.

Peaceful.

"Nini."

Jennie looks down to see Lisa staring right back at her through exhausted eyes. The blonde could barely keep them open anymore, but Jennie never fails to see the overwhelming love the tall girl has for her. They were like snow white's mirror, they never lied.

And never did she when she told her she loved her.

"Hm?"

A pause, a look of longing, an intake of breath.

"I love you. you know that, right?"

Jennie could only chuckle softly, "Of course I do."

Lisa smiles, "Good."

Jennie's breathing hitched, choking back on a sob that was threatening to come out of her throat. Her heart was slowly breaking into tiny little pieces she knew would never be put back perfectly. Just like glass; delicate and fragile. You can't put them back together after it's shattered.

The haunting feeling in the pit of her stomach was gnawing at her senses, as if an alarm had set off in her head to warn her of what was to come.

Please, not tonight.

Lisa lifts her shaky, now boney hand, gently tucking a strand of loose khaki hair behind Jennie's ear.

She caresses the latter's soft cheeks, her thumb running over the soft skin. The warmth her lover gave made her feel so alive.

Jennie could only force a smile as she held onto her hand, a single tear had threatened to escape. The hand that used to feel so warm against hers felt so cold.

She doesn't want to let go.

Lisa lets out a small yawn and turns her body towards the older girl's stomach, wrapping her arms around her waist, basking in the scent that eminated from her lover's body.

"I want to sleep."

Please don't.

"i'll wake you."

Jennie could barely hold back the sob.

Lisa nods weakly, not having the strength to contradict. She savours the moment and looks up to take one more glance at her lover's face, taking her time to memorize each and every detail of the face she may never get to see for a long while.
