" I don't see why you couldn't squeeze through from behind" says the female that I'm trying not to acknowledge as she attempts to button up her shirt."Miles, tomorrow same time, but definitely a different spot." she moans in his ear in what she obviously thinks is a cute babyish voice. Without so much as a second glance back towards the girl, he wipes his lips off, adjusts his tie and walks off.
Embarrassing.
And of course she couldn't do the same. With the space now being accessible, I move to make my way to the big red door just like my plan before, but miss missy just had to step in my way to bump my shoulder. I was certainly at my finally straw, I turn sideways and yank on her platinum blonde tips as hard as I could. "Not in the mood miss prissy." With my luck, of course this was the exact same moment someone decides to walks out of the red door.
"Young lady this is not how we conduct ourselves at Grandview, make your way inside to Mr.Pratts office immediately." yells a old lady who looks to be in her mid fifties, directly to me.
"Miss.Moles I apologize on ..this new girl's behalf" she clears her throat and continue "is there anything I can do to make up for this." the old lady changes her tone and speaks to the girl who's standing beside me.
"No, but maybe next time keep the new mutt on a leash can't have her damaging goods" says the girl before rushing off in the same direction as the boy, Miles I believe went.
With a response hot on my tongue I open my mouth to answer, but the old lady literally grabs my arm and starts dragging me to the office door. "Didn't I tell you to make your way to Mr.Pratts office, we will not tolerate you and this attitude here. Knock on the door before walking in and use your manners, I'm sure it'll atleast attempt to mask up your.." she takes in my outfit before finishing her sentence "guise". I'm not the type to give attitude to an adult, but she was honestly asking for it. I did as I was told, and knock on the door that I now notice has "Pratt" written on the thin opaque glass . Almost immediately after, a lanky man, with thin salt and pepper hair and a mustache opens up the door.
"I'm your new principle, it's a pleasure to meet you Destiny" says the man as he hesitantly reach out to shake my hand before he moves to the side to let me walk through to his office. I shake his hand and walk through the door, only to see my mother sitting on one of the chairs in the front of his desk. I guess she see the look on my face and speaks up before i get to ask her anything.
" I brought your belongings they're already in your room , I figured you wouldn't want to drive with me here. Destiny, soon you'll see that what I did was all for your own good." she says in a voice that I know is hiding some form of truth behind it. I look away from her sincere eyes and towards the uniform in the seat next to her.
"Sure." was all I managed to say without bursting out into tears. She notice even though I'm masking it up, and in one swift movement she gets up without another word, gently stroke my cheek and nods to Mr.Pratt before walking out, leaving me in self-pity and regret.
"Well here's your uniforms, schedule and room number and key" says Mr.Pratt as he hands me my belongings and attempt to change the atmosphere in his office. "The bathroom is right outside, through the hallway. Change and make your way to second period young lady." When I didn't move right away he speak again.
"Look I know it's probably a difficult time for you right now, but we've taken it upon ourselves to assign you ALL female teachers so we don't have any..... misunderstandings."
As the words leaves his mouth all the self-pity I was wallowing in seconds ago left my body instantly, and the words " Fuck you" flew from between my lips as I storm out of his office slamming his door so hard I was expecting the thin glass to shatter.
I hate it when people read my student files, and the lies writing across the pages are what they let outline my character.
