Sitting alone at school as always.
My hair tied up in a ponytail, my nerd glasses, that's what they call it so what? And a jacket on me.
I was answering some lessons that weren't taught yet while the others were playing around.
2 years until I graduate high school and go to Yonsei University.
"Hong Jooyeon!! Always answering textbooks and stuff. Why not hang out with us?!" Sunghee said while wrapping her arms around me,
"I'm good, thank you." I said as I removed her arms around me,
"Yah, we're giving you a once in a life time opportunity here. Not everyone can hang out with us you know?" She scoffed, then our homeroom teacher came in.
"Good Morning Class." She greeted us,
"Good morning!"
"Ne!"
"Sungsaenim what's for lunch?"
Then the teacher just laughed it off.
"Today we have a new student! Come in." She said as she gestured someone to come in.
It was a boy, probably an inch taller than me. He doesn't look korean. He has cute cheeks to be honest. And a cute nose. But something is.... It's about his eyes.... It's like-
"Kindly introduce yourself." The teacher said,
"Annyeonghaseyo, my name is Shotaro Osaki, I'm from Japan. Hope we can get along." He said as he bowed at the end then gave us a cute smile.
He has an eye smile too! So adorable... Wait what?
"Uhmm.... You can sit beside Jooyeon over there. Jooyeon please raise your hand." And I did, I only raised halfway cause I didn't want to be extra.
While he was walking over to my seat, all the girls were drooling on him.
"Ohayo." I greeted him,
"O-oh Ohayo." He said being Flustered at my sudden speaking in Japanese.
"I'm Jooyeon, and I'm Korean. I only know a few Japanese words." I said as he sat down,
"Thank you for welcoming me!" He said as he flashes his eye smile. Won't work on me buddy, not this time.
I just nodded and continued answering my textbook.
~mins later~
Our homeroom teacher was teaching us about math, and Shotaro seems to be trying his best to understand the problem.
He has his eyes squinted, his lips pressed in a straight line, and he was leaning forward.
"Do you have bad eyesight?" I asked him,
"Oh no, It's just a habit." He chuckled,
"Shotaro, Jooyeon! No talking in class." Our Math Teacher scolded us, which made both of us literally shut up.
After the discussion, we were each assign to a problem that's gonna be our homework.
Our partner is our seatmate.
"So where are we gonna do our project? Your house?" Shotaro asked me,
"My house is very far from here, how about you?" I asked him back,
"Oh it's just across the street. Besides the Tteokboki place."
Oh shoot.
"Well, did you bring your own food for our break time?" I asked him while taking my lunch box out and got a piece of bread,
"I did bring something." He said as he go through his bag, he then bought out a piece of bread, just like mine.
"So what's your full name?" He asked me,
"It's Hong Jooyeon." I replied as I ate my bread,
"Why did you come here or transfer here?" I asked him,
"My Parents business were assigned here." He simply replied as he ate his bread,
"Ohh, so your parents owns a business. Cool." I said,
"How about you? What do your parents do?" He asked me,
"Well, they're in a better place I guess...." I chuckled,
"Oh no I'm sorry! I didn't mean to-"
"It's ok, I get that a lot." I said,
"So who takes care of you?" He asked me,
"My Aunt, my Mother's younger sister." I said,
"Well do you get along?" He asked me,
"Look, I don't mean to be rude or anything but can you stop asking personal stuff?" I said then quickly covered my mouth,
"Oh no- I'm so SORRY- I didn't mean to- you must hate me now.." Everytime Jooyeon!
"It's ok! It was my fault and I'm sorry." Shotaro smiled, damn that beautiful smile of his and his eye smile.
Break time ended and we had classes until 5 in the afternoon.
~Time skip~
Me and Shotaro we're about to head out the classroom but Sunghee and her gang blocked us.
"Hey, Shotaro right?" She attempted to start a conversation with him, but he just nodded in response.
"So, I- we WE were thinking if you would like to join our group for math. I mean Jooyeon can probably handle it all right? Since your all smart and all." Sunghee chuckled and as well as her gang,
"It's ok, I'm used to this-"
"No thank you, but thank you for the offer." Shotaro said as he pulled me outside and walked towards the gate.
"Why didn't you defend yourself? You should speak up when they say that!" Shotaro scolded me,
"Well, they always do that. So I'm kinda ok with it but not." I said,
"You're the first one to reject their offer.... Thank you I guess." I said,
"Well am I your first ever partner in a group project then?" He chuckled,
"Well technically yes." I answered,
"O-oh I didn't mean to-"
"Hey let's hurry up to your place." I cut words off.
We arrived at a their house, it was just a small one but it was beautiful.
"Mom, Dad!" Shotaro called out his parents,
"Oh, Shotaro! Meet Ms. Lee." His Mom said,
"Oh shoot."
