Vincent:

The recreation center was filled with the hysteria of these morons running around, some of them playing tag with each other like school children, while others screamed that they wanted to go home. I was almost used to the chaos after spending seven long years in this miserable place, but I longed for the luxury of peace and quiet.

Minding my own business, I found a deck of cards and started a game of solitaire.  That's when I saw her from the corner of my eye; my new night nurse, Stella. She had a clipboard in her hand, and was observing Alejandro as he stared at his cup of jello and licked his lips rather suggestively.

What in the hell was an innocent girl like her doing in a horrible place like this?  I could tell from the moment she came into my room that she was much different than the others who worked here.  There was a sweetness in her aura, which is why I didn't give her much trouble when she gave me my pills.

She probably had enough trouble dealing with Dr. Greer and his succubus of a sister.

Working for them was surely a nightmare.

My thoughts were interrupted when one of the patients ran into my table, knocking all of my cards on to the floor. After enduring a terrible day of useless therapy and more abuse from the hell bound doctor, something inside of my cracked.

I leapt up from my seat and threw my arms in the air. "What the fuck is wrong with you!? Can't you see that I'm playing solitaire, you stupid bitch!"

The woman who knocked over my cards looked terrified.  She was an ex-soldier from Iraq who suffered from PTSD so badly that she was admitted here last month for intense therapy.  She backed away from me, straight into the arms of Earl, who looked at me with cool rage all over his face.

"What's the problem, Graves?"

"She knocked over my cards!"

"That's no reason to cause a scene."

"I haven't even began to cause a scene!"  I shoved both of them back and made a run for it.  I had no idea what I was doing.  I just knew I was pissed.

Everyone in the room watched my meltdown, until Dr. Greer came bursting through the doors.  His green eyes immediately landed on me.  "What is going on in here?"  He demanded.

Earl took hold of my arms.  "Graves is throwing a fit because his cards were knocked to the floor."

"Is that so?"

"I think he'll be all right if I take him to his room."

"Well, I think he needs some time with Beverly."

"No!" I pleaded, "Not that!"

As bad as Dr. Greer was to me, his sister was ten times worse. Her methods of abuse ranged from low key physical beatings to hard core mental warfare. I would rather die than be alone with her.

"You made your bed, Graves."  The doctor said.

"I'm sorry!  I'm really sorry!"

"Take him to my office, Earl!"

"No!!!!"

Earl kept a tight grip on me as he dragged me to the doctor's office. A few of the other doctors watched to make sure everything was okay, never knowing the torment that I had to endure. Even if I told them the truth, what were the odds they would believe me?  No one cared about me.

Beverly was watching television in the office when we went inside, scarfing on a giant bag of chips and looking like a whale with her huge pregnant belly.
