The next morning, I woke up to a bunch of notifications on my phone. A few were from my agent, Myers, along with some emails that weren't too interesting. Others were from Lee and Ty in our group chat, discussing the times we should be over. One message in particular caught my eye. It wasn't from Ty or Lee. It wasn't about work or social media. It was a good morning text.

Hayes: Good morning Roni!  You probably aren't up yet but I just wanted to say have a good day. I'll see yah later xx Hayes

I quickly responded and couldn't help but smile. It had been a long time since I had received one of those. It was sweet. As I went to close his message, I noticed he sent it just after six in the morning. I was surprised to see him up that early but I guess it was because of his work. I looked at my clock, seeing is was quarter past nine, and forced myself to get up and out of bed. After making some coffee, I turned on some music and began my daily routine. I fixed my hair and got changed into some jeans and a cute black lace tank top. I then did my makeup and finished my coffee, returning for a second cup. I spent the morning cleaning up my apartment and responding to emails while I waited for Ty to text me that he was done. Around noon, my phone lit up with a message.

Ty Walker: Coming over now :)

Knowing he was only across the street, I quickly picked up my purse and slipped on some shoes. Just before leaving, I grabbed Hayes' jacket and put it on. It smelled like his cologne which made me smile.

"Hey girl!" Ty yelled as I walked up to his car. "You look cute!"

"Thanks, how was your appointment?" I asked. He began driving off as I heard him chuckle to himself.

"Girl, let me tell you. If this whole thing with Hayes doesn't work out, go check out the doctor in there. He's totally your type" he laughed. "I think he's the son of the original Dr. Carter. It's his practice now and you'd definitely think he's cute. If Hayes wasn't about to come over I'd totally make you go in there."

"I don't know. Do you really think I'd like to go out with a dentist? I've never really thought of it before." I replied.

"Well, he was super tall and totally ripped. His hair was brown and curly. He was very nice and professional. Not to mention he has a good job and that whole place was packed." Ty said.

"Maybe. Either way I'm not going to think about that right now. I get to see Hayes in a few hours!" I exclaimed. We pulled into the lot leading to Lee's apartment and both of us hopped out of the car.

"Just putting it out there. I didn't see a ring on his finger." he chuckled. I gave him the look and continued walking to the elevators. Lee greeted us as the doors opened with a smile on his face.

"Hey babe, how was your appointment?" he asked.

"Great, no cavities." Ty chimed. They kissed then Lee turned to me and smiled.

"There's my girl" he said, hugging me. "You excited to see your boo?" he asked, jokingly.

"Oh, shut up." I laughed. We made our way inside were we started to move some of Lee's things, making room for Ty's new furniture. For about an hour, we shifted things around before stopping to take a lunch break.

"I'll go pick up some subs." Ty called. He grabbed his keys and quickly made his way out the front door. I sat down on the couch next to Lee, who was busy reading something on his computer. I felt my back pocket vibrate and reached for my phone. As I brought it closer to my face, I saw it was a text from Hayes.

Hayes: Work ended earlier than expected. I'm going to head home for a bit to change out of my scrubs. It okay if I come over before 3:30?

Veronica: Of course! See you soon.

I sent him Ty's address and read over his message a few times. Scrubs? I didn't know he was a doctor. Lee leaned over and read his message too, picking up on my confusion.

"Ohh a doctor. He must be really smart." he said. I smiled and set my phone aside. Lee and I chatted until Ty came back, holding three subs that were still warm from the toaster. We all ate fairly quickly then got in the car to go to Ty's apartment. The drive was about fifteen minutes but it went by quickly, especially since I was with Ty and Lee. As we walked out of the parking lot, I looked around but didn't see Hayes. It was still early so I caught up to the boys and followed them into Lee's apartment.

"Let's just finish packing these boxes then everything should be set to go. When Hayes gets here we can carry everything down and bring them over to your place, Lee." Ty said. Lee and I nodded and began working. Not even five minutes went by before my phone buzzed again.

Hayes: I'm downstairs

"He's here. I'm going to get him. I'll be back in a minute!" I said. I skipped my way over to the elevator. As the doors opened, I stepped inside and quickly pressed the button for the first floor. The inside of the elevator was lined with mirrors and I quickly fixed my hair before stepping back in front of the doors. They slowly opened to reveal Hayes, standing in front of me with a smile on his face. He took a step forward and I gave him a hug, smelling the same cologne that was on his jacket. The feeling of his large arms wrap around me made my heart jump.

"Hey Roni" he smiled.

"Hey Hayes" I giggled as I pressed the button to go up. Mentally, I slapped myself for letting myself giggle. Not cool, Roni. Not cool.

"I see you still have my jacket." he laughed. I looked down and quickly remembered that I forgot to take it off. I had been wearing it all day. "That's okay. It looks better on you." he chuckled.

"Sorry, I brought it for you but I guess I was cold." I laughed, nervously. "Thanks for coming."

"Glad to!" he said as the doors of the elevator opened. I began to lead him to the correct apartment. "You said they need help moving furniture?" he asked.

"Yeah. My best friend Lee and his boyfriend Ty are officially moving in together. I thought we could use some help, or muscle, you know? That's where you come in." I laughed.

"Cool" he said. I opened the door to the apartment and we stepped inside. Both Ty and Lee's voices dropped as they hurried around the corner to greet him. Lee came out first and immediately smiled.

"Hey, I'm Lee!" he exclaimed. Ty came from behind him with a hysterical look on his face.

"No way!" he said almost at a yell.

"Ty Walker?" Hayes asked, surprised.

"Wait... you two know each other?" I questioned, completely at loss at what was happening.

"That's Dr. Carter! Or his son! He's the dentist I was talking about!" Ty chimed.
