Ansleys P.O.V.

Five and a half days since I got the bad news.

I can't believe I have only one year of my life left till I take my very last breathe here on earth.

I was just an average girl before I was infected with my illness.

I never thought it would end like this.

I never thought my illness would lead to this.

I haven't talked to Niall in 4 days, I hope he'll understand why, when I feel like I need to tell him my illness.

I swear my illness needs to leave, I'm to young to die.

I don't deserve to have my last year here on earth to be stuck with my illness, its not fair.

I never thought I'd be this scared before, it never occurred to me that I might die from my illness.

I mean I did but I thought I'd be one of those survivers of my kind of illness.

I've been stuck in my bed for a while now and I think I feel im going to tell Niall about my illness. I just hope he'll understand. But first I've gotta tell my bestfriend that i might be dead in a year.

I got up from my bed pulling myself to the bathroom turned on the shower and stepped in. After I got done taking the shower I throwed on some random shirt and a pair of jeans and some shoes.

I pulled up my hair because im way too depressed to fix it like I would usally do. I stepped out my room for a change and headed to my car.

I stepped in my car and just sat there to take a breether and took a brake from all my thoughts in my head.

* 15 minutes later* I pulled in Sadies driveway and went to the door and knocked. I heard steps getting closer to the door and Sadie opened the door. "What are you doing here?" she said smiling just a little bit. " Um I had to tell you something important" I said. "Why didnt you text me or call me before you came over here?" She asked smiling a little bit looking down at her pajamas. "Because I have to tell you something VERY important" I said still standimg outiside. "Okay?" She said, " Can I come in?" laughing a little bit. " OH sure yea my bad" she said laughing opening the door more.I walked in her house and went to her room, I really injoyed coming to her house it was just so big and amazingly decorated.

"Uh go in my room i'll be in there in a minute just let me take out the pizza I was cookin for my little brother and his friends so they can have somthing to eat after his soccer game, okay?" She said. " Yea okay" I said.

I walked in her room and sat on her bed. I looked to right of her wall and I saw a peice of paper I made for her like when we was in the 2nd grade I think, it was in a picture frame. It showed two little stick girls with little pink triangle dresses, and the words say at the top of paper 'BFF'. I admired that she would keep somthing like this and accutally put it in a picutre frame.

She walked in the room and saw me staring at the picture on the wall, " Yea I kept that" she said as i turned to look at her. " That was like really sweet of you, I cant belive you kept something like this so long" I said smiling. " Well I did" she said laughing a little bit slipping off her house shoes to her bed to sit. "So you need to tell me somthing?" She said looking at me.

"Umm, yea I do" I said staring in to blank space. Here it goes im just gonna spit it out, just like ripping off a bandage.

My mouth opened but nothing came out, I froze just for a second and just said, " Im sick", " Wow, dont get me sick I do not like having a cold" She said laughing. " No, I dont mean sick sick like a flu or a fever" I said looking at the ground. " Well what do you mean by sick then?" she said looking at me while her eyes get a little serious.

"I.....I have" I said stuttering. " I have Cancer" I said, ugh it feels like whenever I say that word it like thousands of knives stabbing me. "And..and...I have only a year left to live", "Stop lieing, this isnt funny" Sadie said, " I wish I was lieing sadie" I said looking up at her as I felt a tear coming from my eye.

There we sat in silence for about 1 minute, then all of a sudden she hugged me and while she did she said "Im so sorry Ansley why didnt you tell me sooner?

"Is this why you havent texted me or called me for like a week?". " I found out like a few days ago, and I stayed in my room for awhile trying to get this in my head that everything is really happening and that this isnt a nightdream." I said. " Im so sorry I didnt tell you from the start a 2 years ago, they have been trying and trying to get me better but sadly it hasn't been working, but they've kept me alive this long and the treatment is giving up" I said as I bursting out in tears.

Right after I exploded in tears, Sadie started to cry with me. I've never cryed this much ever since my grandpa died from cancer when I was only 10. I was really close to my Grandpa, we'd always went fishing every other sunday after we left church...Oh I miss ole gramps.

We finished up crying, and I heard a door open, "IS EVERYTHING OKAY LADIES??" Sadie's dad said. "OH um yea were okay" she said wiping her tears away from her eyes. "Are y'all sure?" He said even slower. "Yes dad, were okay", "Okay.." He said walking out. "Maybe I should leave, I gotta get going to my house anyway" I said as I stood up.
"Okay, Ansley" Sadie said. "Alright bye, love you" I said walking out her door as I hear a bye love you too.
I walked out her front door walking to my car. Then all of a sudden Niall comes into my mind. Maybe I should call him. I went to McDonalds to get me a sweet tea. Then pulled out the drive through into a parking spot. I got out my phone and started to call Niall. I waited a few seconds for him to answer.

Niall's P.O.V.
My phone started to ring, It said Ansley. "Hello?" I said, " Hey Babe I'm sorry I haven't talked to you in a while I just had to have a little brake from everything, you know?" She said, "Its okay, So... How do you feel about me coming to see you, I'll be in Texas Saturday for a concert, and I could go to Little Rock while I'm the closest to you" I said. "Uhh... Sure babe but when you come here I gotta tell you something very important"
