*Banging on my bedroom door*
"10 more minutes until you have to get up and take a shower for the first day of your new school Bree!!", my mom says through the wooden door that is shaking violently with the rhythm of her fists pounding away on the other side.
"Okay, mom! I'm up, now stop banging on my door before you give me a headache", I say playfully and I hear a small chuckle on the other side of the door and while hearing her heels make a God awful sound against the hardwood floors.
I sit up and look at my clock and it has 6:00 flashing across it. I have and hour and a half before I have to be at my new school in the principles office registering for my classes that I'm sure I'll hate. I have the class I want to take already going through my mind.
I stand up and as my feet hit the hardwood floor the coolness of it sends a shiver up my spine as I fumble around all the boxes in my room to try and find my slippers that have been missing since we've moved here. I rummage through the cardboard boxes disregarding the labels my mother put on them because I didn't pack them accordingly. I have only been looking for what seems like ages, but I finally find them. I toss them on the ground and slip them on making my way out of my room into the hallway where I see my mother standing there to see if I would ever come out of my room.
"I am really dreading this new school" I say to my mother as I walk past her down the stairs and into the kitchen looking for something to eat, but she just stands there staring into space. "Hello? Earth to Jenny!" I say while shoving a still warm muffin into my mouth. "Oh, sorry hun.. I was having another flashback." I look into her eyes with a meaningful gaze as if to say "Its okay" without actually saying it.
(This is all I have for now lol sorry xoxo)
