Prologue

"Something's not right. Why is this happening now?"

"It's only been 90 years, it can't start now that's impossible."

"You must remember that nothing's impossible, Toris. Sure the prophecy said that it would melt in a century but it only just started."

"I guess you're right, Lupa. That only means that we must guard it with more precaution to carry out this task."

Toris sat down in his wake and shivered as Lupa darted a cold glance towards him.

"Destiny is sure taking its sweet time here, but it'll all be worth it in the end, right Daren?" Toris's expression slightly lit up. Daren responded to his name being called with a glare that revealed a slight grimace.

"Right. I trust in Morgana that we will all get what we deserve in the end," Daren stretched out his long body and yawned, sharp ivory colored fangs poking out.

"With one wish left and the conservation spell soon wearing off, I trust that they will soon come,"Lupus sighed.

Toris only tucked his tail between his legs while Daren gave out a hushed whine. The wolves continued to guard the entrance of the dungeon that they have lived in, carrying out their duty for 90 years. Ever since the sorceress, Morgana cast her spell, that's all they've done.

Morgana summoned three armored wolves to protect the last of three stars used to grant wishes. A deal was made to the spirits; if they could successfully manage to guard now the most precious item in the entire known land, they were granted freedom from their master and any other master for eternity. Armored wolves have to obey their summoner under any circumstances but, they feel emotions just as humans and other entities do. Armored wolves do feel sadness, happiness, and even doubt.

When Morgana sealed the fates of the wolves by making the pact, she awakened newfound trust in the spirits, and she has kept her word. She is one of the fairest ladies in the land, after all, and not one soul could ever deny that.
