When I met you in the Summer

Chapter 2

Emily's Pov:

"I'm so sorry." I said. Da ja vu. I looked up to see Nash.

"Hey." He smiled at me.

"Come on Em, let's go." Josh yelled just thinking that I trailed behind.

"I-i I'm gotta go." I said. "I'll see you around?" I asked as a question mostly.

3 days have passed and today's the day I have to step foot in the recording studio. I have a choice here. But I always end up making the wrong one. Josh has been showing me and Sarah around and it's been great.

"Dad, just give me a few weeks with the song on my own. I can't just jump in on it." I said buying time.

"I'll give you one." He said. "Your lucky your my daughter." He smiled at me and left the room. I went to go find Sarah who was somewhere here waiting for me to finish. She was talking to some tall boy.

"Hey Sarah." I said.

"this is my friend Emily." She said.

"Hi I'm Shawn." He said.

"Hi." I said.

"So, your dad works here?" He asked me.

"She basically does too." Sarah answered for me.

"Oh wow, so as like a singer or-?" He asked.

"My dad wants me to sing but I don't know." I said.

"I'm sure your great. We should sing together sometime. I sing too since I never mentioned that." He said.

"We know who you are Shawn." I said.

"Oh." He laughed.

"I love your EP by the way." I said in a casual way.

"thank you." He said in such a genuine way. It was sweet.

"So you just went on tour right?" Sarah asked him.

"Yup." He replied. "I'm here now actually finishing up my album." He said.

"Can we hear something from it?" Sarah asked.

"Yea." I said wanting to hear it too.

"Sure. Some of my friends are in there too. Just to warn you, there a little crazy." He said. Hahah isn't he friends with like Nash. Omg what If Nash is in there. That's like impossible.

When we got in there, before Shawn could introduce us, I saw Nash.

"No way Emily. Sarah." He said. "What are you guys doing here?" He asked.

"Emily sings." Shawn answered for me.

"Can you sing for us?" Cameron asked.

"She um doesn't really do that." Sarah said worrying about me. "So Shawn can we hear a piece of your album now?" Sarah asked.

"Yeah." He said and we listened.

I was sitting in between Cameron and Nash.

"So how's LA been to you?" Nash asked me ignoring everyone else's talk going on around us.

"Good." I said. " I haven't seen much of it." I said.

"How about I show you around?" Nash asked me. My jaw almost dropped. I think I worried him so he talked again. " Sarah can um come too if you want?" He asked.

"Sounds great." I smiled dying inside.

"How about 3pm tomorrow?" He asked me.

"Yea." I said.
