Ashton's POV:

"You can stop screaming Cece."

"We just won!" She screams and gets off me.

All players please return to your respective entrance.

"Bummer you have to walk." She giggles and unhooks our tether. I bend down and she hops on.

"I'll win next time." The girl sneers.

"Bitch, I hope there isn't a next time with you." Cece brushes her off.

We're the last ones to reach our doors, but they're not open. Everyone is asking who killed the last person, but we stay silent. Finally, the doors open. The same guy shuffles us back to the same room. We return our gear to the lockers. He helps Cece take her vest off and whispers in her ear. I almost punch his face off, but Emmet stops me. He leads us up some stairs and into a conference room. Once we all take a seat Coach comes in.

"I've been dying to see this." He rubs his hands together and leans against the table. A video comes up of different moments. At the end it shows Cece and I taking out the girl.

"That's Jemina. Best of the best, she's never lost. You two just knocked her out of the ranks. Watch your back." The guy laughs.

"Who are you?" I ask.

"You don't remember?" I shake my head.

Cece gets up and wraps an arm around him. Blood starts to boil. "This is Jackson, my cousin." I take a look at his face.

"It's been awhile feetsweat." I punch his shoulder.

"Sure has snotbrain." He pinches my cheeks.

"Do you know all of her family?" Wesley rolls his eyes.

"Duh, I'm her best friend." He just glares at me in return.

"Alright, everybody on the bus. We got a long way to go."
*****
"Grab all of your things and wait outside!" Coach yells as we exit the bus.

"Doesn't he know we want to go?" Cece hops on my back while we're waiting.

"I do, which is all the more reason to keep you." He flicks her ear. I swear, they have the weirdest relationship. He would've yelled at anyone else if they said that.

"I know you're all having your annual camping trip. I just want you to be safe. We gotta game in a couple weeks and I don't need you coming back with a broken leg. Great job today, you really impressed me. Now, get out of here I'm tired of your faces." He waves us off.

Cece throws my helmet at me, almost taking my head off. I grab hers before she can throw that too. She fastens mine while I fasten hers. "Do you want to put a shirt on?" I ask before we get on.

She shakes her head and we climb on. "Are we stopping for lunch?" Nate yells out his window.

"Just follow me." I yell back.

"Do you wanna stop?" I ask her once we get on the road a ways.

"I'm sure we will survive. Turn left." She points towards a country road.

"Are you sure you know where we're going?" All I get is a punch.

I sigh and lean back into her embrace. Too soon we're there. We park in a clearing separate from the camp site. The guys start unpacking and we sneak away to have a look around.

"That's the surprise." I whisper, afraid to disturb the beauty. "A lake?"

"Is it bad?" She bites her bottom lip.
