Chapter 2
It was my first day that Saturday and it wasn’t that great. Learning how to fly was my first lesson. Blood dripped all over my wings as I tried and tried over and over again. As I took a break to clean my wings, I saw Zero's face looking to the ground. I knew that something was wrong because he's never looked so sad before. Zeros the gothic type that can sometimes get on your nerves and NEVER cries. Suddenly, I heard a tap sound, knowing that he was crying and something long ago made him like this. “You ok?” I asked, trying to act natural but my face gave away a freaky smile. “You know angels like me can read minds right?” Zero murmured as he laughed like nothing was wrong. “You can tell me, I’m going to be a guardian angel in 6 days so I can help you.” I trembled as I said it because I knew I was useless at making people better. Zero’s mouth opened and he told me what happened.
“I became an angel when I was 5 because this old man shot my family. I don’t know why but all I remember was my mother telling me to get in the boat and she'll be back soon. I didn’t believe her and got out of the boat and tried finding her. When I found her, there was a gun to her head and my dad was on the floor bleeding. “Please don’t! I need to live!” my mother said but the guy didn’t listen and............ He pulled the trigger. I couldn’t let this happen and ran up to her” by this time, Zeros tears were falling and I couldn’t get some of the words. He stopped, wiped his eyes and continued. “The guy saw me and gave me an evil grin. “Hello little boy. Let me take you to a place where you don’t need to worry about anyone” I saw him put a bullet into the gun and he pointed it to my head. “Why don’t you go to heaven” and he pulled the trigger and that was the end of my life. Your blood reminded me of that day”
I looked at him, shocked and amazed. “So... this guy... have you seen him ever? Like when you go to check on the humans?” I looked at his face as the hatred was spreading all over. He looked at me and said “No.”
