I breathe in lightly, the delicious scent of crispy bacon wafting into my senses. I flutter my eyes open, allowing hazel orbs to meet almost complete darkness. The only light being a ray of sun peering in through the slightly ajar curtains.

Tilting my head slightly to the side I look towards the source of the mouth watering smell. Stray hairs fall over my eyes as I face a shut door, the smells floating in through the gap beneath the entry.

Slowly I sit up, pulling my cozy covers off of me as I climb off the bed feeling the smooth floorboards beneath the soles of my feet.

I slowly make my way down the stairs and into the kitchen feeling the smells hit me much stronger.

"Morning Tenshi," my large dark eyes avert towards the familiar voice, coming into contact with the happy smile of my father. His light, brown eyes meeting mine as his shiny white teeth gleam in the sunlight. His tanned face framed with his brown hair that barely touches his shoulders.

It's been three weeks since I saw him last, the life of a shinobi is a busy one. I'm glad to see him home without a single injury, a feeling of relief briefly washes over me.

"Daddy!" I squeal running towards the man, quickly getting scooped up into his broad arms as he spins me around in circles. My long white locks dancing through the newly created current behind me in the process. I wrap my small, chubby arms around his neck to stop myself from falling and smile as he slowly comes to a halt, bringing me into a warming hug.

"I love you more than you know," he whispers, that's when it hit me. I quickly push him away from me creating some distance as we come face to face. He offers me a smile the same smile as always, except I can see through it. My brown hues search his lighter ones, he's definitely hiding something, but what?

His smile doesn't waver for a second, I guess that's a skill all shinobi should have but I can see through his lies.

My parents won't allow me to become a shinobi, they think I should live a peaceful life, but I don't understand how that's fair. Why should my life be perfect if other children are sent to fight? Why should I have the luxury to live a peaceful life? Then again not everything in life is fair, if it was there would be no fighting and everyone would have what they want.

My parents always tell me that I haven't got the skills to become a shinobi, but as I gaze into my father's deceiving eyes I don't agree. I've always felt like I was born to be a shinobi and whenever my father lies to me about his missions to not scare me I can tell. I can tell, yet not once have I ever said a thing.

I suppose today should be the same, I send him a fake sweet smile that he falls for everytime.

"I missed you, daddy," I chime as I hug him once more, before being placed on the ground.

"Breakfast is ready," my mother calls from the dinning room.

I enter the dining room quietly and spot my mother seated at the table with her blue eyes cheerful at the sight of my father. She stands to greet him and I notice he whispers something into her ear before they sit down. I watch as she carefully tucks a strand of her cherry red, shoulder length hair behind her ear.

It reminds me of how my hair looks so different from my parents. My father has short brown hair and my mother short red hair that doesn't match my long, white, straight hair which reaches three quarters down my back.

My mother knocks me out of my thoughts as she looks up with a smile. "What's the matter Tenshi, aren't you hungry?" she asks as I look up at her, I can tell her smile is fake, something's up.
