Part 1 - The Mutual Vs Reality

One and half years have passed from the day of the separation or likely to be called 'rejection'. For Lee Minho, time does not heal. The feeling he has inside is still the same as the last hug, and he still wanted it till to date – he wants her. That goodbye night still clear in his mind. The night when they finally talk to each other about advancing the 'Friendship'. He confessed to her on the day of the last shooting which at that time he confident that the feeling between them for months is mutual. He confident most of the scenes in the drama is no longer Lee Gon and Tae Eul. The hugs, the kisses, the smiles are true from them - the real person. But, even with his confession, the ultimatum is at the hand of the lady. That lady, the chungmuro princess, Kim GoEun unable to answer him that last day of shooting and she keeps running away to answer until that 'rejection' night. That night, he saw how hard for her to say it, he still can feel how icy cold her hand that time.

He understands and he tried to respect her perspective. Maybe the future scared her that make her goes to what she decided. BUT, looking back, now.. he regretted it much for not trying to hold on to her. At first, he thinks, Kim Go Geun might be correct that the feeling he has back then just carried away from Lee Gon. But, over a year has passed, he has done enough dramas, commercials, movies, tv programs to confirm that his feeling for that lady is not just simply a temporary carried away from Lee Gon but from Lee Minho.

Back to July 2020

It was a day before Woo DoHwan leaving for the army enlistment. That day, Lee Minho was so busy and very late when he met Do Hwan. Just casually when he arrived at Do Hwan's party and coincidence, Kim Go Eun was also there and about to leave. Lee Min Ho asked her to wait which she did. After hugging Do Hwan, wished good luck, Lee Minho asked Kim Go Eun's for her time so that they can talk. Kim Go Eun seems already know the topic that Lee Minho wants to talk and she thinks it is the right time to face it. Her heart suddenly runs fast, and she can feel the sting inside her heart.

Do Hwan patted Lee Minho's back and giving the 'good luck' back to him. Do Hwan aware of the chemistry attraction between the two but because of his love and respect to both, he not interfering with their personal matters.

Lee Minho told the staff he will be sending Kim Go Eun home as she was there at Do Hwan by a taxi. Lee Minho drove Kim Go Eun to her residence area, and stop the car nearby the Condominium she lived in. They start the "discussion" with a smile to each other.

KGE : Sunbae nim..I know what you are expecting from me now

KGE's voice tremble. She feels like choking in her throat, and she can feel her hands becoming cold.

KGE: I have been thinking a lot, like really A LOT every day. Trying hard to brave myself to at least imagining tomorrow and the next day 'to stand beside you'. But, I failed every time. I don't have the courage to do so. I never imagine my life to be bigger than what it is now. I am thankful, grateful, and satisfy with what is 'good enough for me'.

Lee Minho listened to KGE with a bitter heart, knowing where the direction of the talking.

LMH: What're the things that you scared and worried for? Cant, you just be together with me and trust me?

KGE: Scared and Worried are my weaknesses, I will never argue on that. But, 'Together with you and Trust you' are two big words that I never ever try to imagine crossing my wildest dream. Please sunbae, I beg you not to think of this as rejection because I am not that important to be in that level... and I am definitely not playing hard to get with you.

Lee Minho just silent, his eyes look at Kim Goeun, thinking briefly, digesting what he had heard, and finally nod.

LMH: I understand. It hurts in here (pointing at his heart) but I need to respect you
