REGULUS AND STELLA LANDED HARD in the field, and he had to keep a firm grasp on her arm to keep her from falling. He immediately withdrew his wand from his blazer and looked all around, his head spinning; there wasn't another person in sight, thank Merlin, and the train could faintly be seen speeding off in the distance.

"Well, this isn't how I imagined my day going..." he murmured, running a hand through his hair to calm it. He felt like he should be more frantic—after all, he had just brought a Muggle face-first into the Wizarding World. But what was there to be frantic about? For Stella, however, there was quite a bit.

"What the bloody hell just happened?! W-We were just on the train! A-And now we're here, in the fields! How on earth did we just get from a train to a field?" He wanted to explain, but the more he thought about it, the more it seemed like a waste of time to stand there explaining when someone could come after them at any moment.

"We have to move, now," he directed firmly, setting off in the direction of the woods, her trailing after him.

"I-I don't fucking understand it, we were just on the train! I'm dreaming, aren't I? This is some big fucking dream, and I'm going to wake up at any moment in my bed at the Lancasters', right? Of course, right, yes, that's what's going to happen—" Regulus stopped in his tracks, nearly causing her to run into him, and turned to face her. They were under cover by tree now, at least they had that going for them.

"You're not dreaming. I just Apparated us from the train to here." As expected, she looked completely clueless and confused.
"Right, allow me to explain..." So they kept walking, with him explaining everything in the best way he could.

"Wait..." She began half an hour later, and the two stopped yet again to face one another.
"So let me get this straight. You're a wizard, you went to a wizarding school, and you joined an organization that set out to destroy everyone who doesn't have completely magical blood. Then you realized how stupid you were because this Lord Volde-whatever guy almost killed your house elf, and now you're on the run? And that's why that creepy guy with the short beard tried to take us?"

"That's the general idea of it, yes." She didn't move or speak for a moment, seemingly taking it all in. Then, she raised her hand and forcefully shoved Regulus back.

"You wanker! Why the bloody hell did you take me with you?! I would have been fine staying right there, wouldn't I?!" Regulus had half a mind to snap back, but as part of his path to become a better person, he allowed himself to realize that she was in a bit of a state at the moment, therefore he shouldn't judge her for acting the way she was.

"Had I left you there, he would have taken you anyway, and you would have been tortured and killed. Now we have to stick together, because even if I wiped your memory and let you go off on your own, they know you were with me and they'd assume you have knowledge of my whereabouts, so they'd torture you and inevitably kill you regardless. This was the only safe option." That seemed to satisfy her, but that wasn't to say she was perfectly fine. He took that as a sign to keep walking again, and she followed in suit.
"You're lucky you had your bag in hand, otherwise we would have had to leave it behind."

"So now what do we do? This...This thing you can do, you can just Apparate us anywhere, right?"

"Not exactly," sighed Regulus.
"You can only Apparate somewhere when you have a clear image of it in your head. It'll be safer just to travel on foot for the time being."

"So you're saying we have to walk? Where the bloody hell are we supposed to end up, then? Because last I checked, we were far away from the nearest house or flat, and—" Unable to control himself, he stopped yet again to face the girl directly.
