"Oh lord. Oh no, what did I just do?" I mumble in disbelief as I pop up off of my ground, far away from Ricky. "City boy I'm so sorry." I mutter out in embarrassment as I pace the small corner that I ended up in. I risk a look towards Ricky and he's wearing a small smile. "What are you sorry for?" He asks earnestly, his piercing eyes finding mine from across the room. I shake my head in further disbelief. "I don't just kiss random guys like that I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me." I say and he pushes himself up off of the ground. "Oh that's not something you do often?" He asks with a hint of humor and I can't help but let out a laugh. "No most guys aren't like you, city boy." He looks content with that answer and leans against my bed frame. "So I suppose you don't feel this connection often? I mean this is new to me too." He gives me a smile and I blush. "No, I've never felt a connection like this. I'll be honest it's unnerving." He lets out a laugh and he bites his lip. "Plays into the mystery of love and relationships doesn't it?" I give him a skeptical look but he just shrugs. "I don't want to overstay my welcome and I know you probably have a lot to think about, so I'm gonna..." He gives me a beautiful smile and points to my door. I nod eagerly and stumble over my words. "Yeah oh yeah I'll call you? Yeah I'll call you that's good." I reassure myself and he laughs. "Call me Nina, you bet I'll answer." He winks and the simplicity of it makes my stomach erupt in butterflies. "I'll see you later." I mumble as he closes the door behind him. I groan loudly when I'm sure he's gone and rest my head in my hands. Something was seriously wrong with me.
"You just KISSED him?" Kourtney yells into the phone. My face heats from embarrassment as I roll onto the side of my bed. "It was a mutual kiss! But I don't know what the hell it was, I don't just kiss guys Kourt." I hear her sigh and I'm sure she's nodding. "My head is spinning babe. But from what I can tell, it was just a lapse of attraction, both physical and emotional." She admits and I can't help but laugh. "Well that's kinda a relief because I'm bringing him home to my parents for Thanksgiving. He doesn't have a place to spend the holidays and-" she cuts me off before I can finish. "Woah that's fast. Faster than the kiss babe. Are sure that's a smart idea? Do you trust him enough?" She asks and I nod. "Of course I trust him. This is a holiday we're talking about, not a marriage." I laugh and she seems to laugh nervously. "Alright if you're sure Nins." She sounds skeptical but I shake it off and ask her about her night. Everything would be just fine.
