Primordial Palace

Prologue

                        Tornados, mass floods, forest fires, hurricanes, diseases, all of earths horrible historical events no matter if they made it into your textbooks or your local news could have been stopped completely. You see there are people who are meant to help protect the earth from these events happening but sometimes the dark beings that cause these events slip through their fingers. Just outside earths atmosphere, there is a Palace of sorts that sits on a massive chunk of land. It sits perfectly on top of a portal, well not exactly on top of, there is a room inside the palace that was built around it. Celestial beings that look over all the universes placed it there toward the very start of the earth's life. Originally they had minor celestial beings watching over the portal and the earth but they quickly found that they did not have the passion needed to protect the earth that the higher beings wanted them to have.

They devised a system that would be changed many times as the years went on, that worked better. They discovered that the best people to protect the earth were the very people who lived there but no mere human could do the job. They found the best time to pluck someone from earth was just as their life was coming to an end though it could not be just anyone. They looked for people whose life was being taken from them far too early, someone with a little life left in them. They could look through centuries of people, from all kinds of backgrounds and eras. They found that there were people on earth who would be perfect candidates to be the holders of powers they would be granting them to aid them in their new jobs as protectors. Not only would they need to be trained in the power they got but also in a weapon. They had to be able to protect the earth in any situation.

The original minor celestial being did not get off easy though. As punishment for not being able to do as they were meant to, they had their memories taken. All they could remember was what training they would need to pass on to the first generation of protectors. In total there were 6 protectors. One for the base elements, fire, water, earth, and air, as well as one for the dark and the light. It took them a lot of searching to find just the right people to take the Dark and Light powers as those were the biggest and hardest to control. To this day the dark and light hold has remained the same because they were not easy elements to master. As for the others, if anything happened to one of the 4 elements they would not be able to just replace the one, all 4 would need to be replaced. No one really knew why it had to be that one but it never seemed to go well after one was gone. Slowly over time the rest would either parish as well because they could not stand against all the threats or they would decide it was best to move on and let a new generation take over.

For the minor celestial being watching over the elements, they got to move on after the first humans came and went because the knowledge of the new generation would be added. The spirit and body of the newer generations would get to move on to what was known as paradise. Their knowledge would take the place of the celestial being in the form of different animals each time. They would have no memories of their life before becoming a protector or as a protector other than the training they learned.

The dark and light minor celestial beings still remain trapped with no memory, helping where they were needed. After thousands of years and an unknown amount of elemental protectors things are starting to become unsettled. What is in store for the current protectors when something never meant to happen, does.
